They didn't use to be like this, at least not to this extent. I guess the brand is built though, so they can afford to be cheap.

I look at it as more of this is their hobby and they used it to build the empire outside of the Cowboys while using the brand to hence that empire, but make no mistake they will be frugal with it so it doesn’t impact other areas of their business dealings outside of the Cowboys.

Nobody is signing a one year extension. If they bring him back, it'd be two.

Hope they clear house. Even with no effort put into building the team, we need new coaches. The guys we'd draft next year need to be the future, and they won't be if they're selected by a head coach on his way out.

That's a really good point.

This team has no vision, no identity, no calling card. What do we emphasize? What do we fall back on under fire? What is the strength of the team?

Its just a mishmash of players with loads of talent in a few positions and huge voids in others. Losing Overshown is such a terrible blow too. We need LB help as bad as dline now.
