If the Cowboys have a good a good season, is it because?

A favorable schedule (yes things can change, our opponents can beat us at any moment, or we can be ourselves!). Or could it be that this team is better than it was, with the addition of new players, new coaching, new philosophies etc etc??? Please give your thoughts
Dallas will have a good season because they will be able to run the ball, and Prescott with the use of motion and play action will have a good year. This Oline is going to be scary in 25,and the defense will be much improved under Eberflus.

What is considered a good season? The only goal is to win the SB, anything short of that is a failure.

Jebus Coog. Imagine if Dak is healthy all year. Imagine the Cowboys don't get destroyed by injuries. No question the roster is better than 4 months ago.

It's easy to see how they could have a better record. But that is NOT a favorable schedule.
Hold up.

Dak was 3-5 last year.

Rush was 4-4.

Math tells me that a healthy Dak last year would’ve had us drafting higher.

Please stop being nice to me, I want the REAL BDC back in here baby!!!!! JK, ok you're right, but looking at the comments from fans on here, they feel strongly that a double digit win season could be had!
They need more depth. But yes, if things go right 10-7 or 11-5. Booker helps, so will Revel, Ez and Pickens. Add Blue and this is really a different team. We also got Dante Fowler, and Murray and Sanborn as depth guys. We shaped up a squad over here in Dallas. No cap.

I see Blue in more of a hybrid role. If he's hungry enough, he could carve out a roll at RB and receiver. Definitely a new team. Reminds me of when Detroit had that draft with Gibbs, Campbell and LaPorta in Rd 1.

We added quality guys and are a new team with a new identity just like they became after this draft. May take one more year, but they got better in 25 and set themselves up to get even better in 26, which may be getting close to the commitment to Dak threshold.

“Good season” is meaningless

I need an NFCCG appearance to call it a “good season”

its because they are a better team than last year, which was a debacle. with that said, the NFCE is not the NFCLeast any longer. two of the teams played in CCG. its a big hill to climb.

but If they do have a good season, probably because they avoided injuries, they were able to run the ball more effectively and they were able to STOP the run more effectively. I sitll don't see us winning the division.

There are lots of reasons a team can improve from one season to the next. Until it happens, we won't know what those reasons are. So, I'm not falling into the trap of naming any reasons at this time. I don't think the HC will be the reason.

I remember to stand on my left foot and wear my lucky hat during opening kick-off of every game.

Go Cowboys!

They get help from the NFL.

If they have a good season, it is because they improved beyond everyone's expectation. And actually became a good team. And it will be due to numerous reasons.

Past draft picks really step up. And this yeas draft really contributes. Players return healthy, even the few that start the year on PUP.

The coaching staff exceeds expectations.

Rowdy is miraculously missing.

i dont think anyone here feels we have a favorable schedule...we have the hardest 4 game stretch in NFL history (average of 4 teams at 13-4 from last year), 4 thursday games, we have a near the top SOS and we start the year against the defending superbowl champs.
Are you saying Coog doesn't know what the hell he's talking about? :hammer::clap::bow:

It def won't be coz of the schedule ...........we have enough to get to the playoffs BUT the margin is razor thin. We need players at several positions to step up, and we have to stay healthy, especially during the backend of the schedule.

Why do the Chiefs have more prime time exposure than Dallas ? Is it Taylor ?

Schedule doesn’t matter, the football players just need to show up and play good football!

It would have to be the culture. This team will need grit to make it into the playoffs and beyond.

another myth.

takes grit, lol, you think Eli had grit? he chucked the ball and he had a great defense. Heck if we were half the team and a decent coach we should have wrecked them. Grit, you guys and your myths.

Eli didn't. But his defense sure did. Hate on Eli Manning all you want, he was a way better QB than Dak Prescott or Tony Romo.
