What team would you be a fan of?

Because of my viewing area (South Carolina), I probably would have been a Falcons or a dreaded Commanders fan.

When I was younger and started paying attention to football, those two teams where always on TV because the Panthers had not existed yet. What a dreadful life that would've been.

I agree with you JonJon. I am from the upstate originally (Seneca) and all that was on TV in the the late seventies besides Dallas were the Falcons. Hard to imagine over 30 years of being a Falcon fan.

I'm not sure I would be a football fan. I became a football fan because of the Cowboys.

I would have probably become a Vikings fan growing up in Minnesota and North Dakota.

Probably a Houston Oilers fan, having grown up there. Whether my loyalty would have followed them to Tennessee or no, I don't know. Maybe I would have become a newbie Houston Texans fan upon their existence.

Houston Oilers since they were always on TV on the AFC affiliate down here in San Antonio.....plus they used to practice here in SA for several years....I probably would have remained a fan when they moved to Tennessee, since I am a loyalist. But if not, then I would be a Texans fan.

At any rate........this is all moot since the Cowboys do exist, and I have been a lifelong fan.

If the Cowboys never existed, I'd be an Atlanta Falcons fan. My dad was a huge Falcons fan growing up in Columbus, GA. One day the Cowboys were in town to play the Falcons so they were on TV in Columbus, and my dad said he saw Mel Renfro and Bullet Bob Hayes, switched his fandom as a kid right then and there, and the rest was history. He said he also thought they had the coolest uniforms.

My grandpa was a Commanders fan, because he was from the DC area. He was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas (El Paso) back when the Cowboys were founded, and then he retired here. When we ask him why he changed, he simply says, "I moved to Texas."

My dad was also a big Cincinnati and KC fan, but the Cowboys have always been his favorite.

So I'd have to say I'd either be a Skins fan, Bengals, or Chiefs.

This is a hard one. I was raised a Cowboys fan and my grandpa on my mom's side says he was a Dallas fan before he ever moved to Texas. They're from South Carolina. My dad however, was born in Texas and has lived there most of his life, he's also a Dallas fan. But my family always traveled to South Carolina when I was little and I live here now, so I'm not sure. Seems to me like it would be either the Houston Texans or the Carolina Panthers. Ugh.
