Well quite obvious if we thump the skins this season hinges on our play against the Eagles....

Agreed. The Eagles should cruise to 7-1 early Sunday (they get the 49ers at home).

If the Cowboys beat the Commanders, they will still be minus a division loss. With two games head-to-head with Philly still to go, that leaves the NFC East wide open.

A loss at Washington doesn't necessarily mean the Cowboys are out of it, but they will have almost no margin for error the last nine weeks against a schedule that gets tougher. A wild card berth at 9-7 or 10-6 would be the best case scenario.

Win or lose Sunday I just don’t see us making the playoffs with this defense. Our formula for winning last year doesn’t work if we can’t stop the run.

Might as well just take it week to week. Try to enjoy the season. With this defense, we aren't going anywhere in lieu of divine intervention. And the NFL is still after Easy Es scalp. If they get it, the Cowboys are truly done.

So we'll see.
