If the draft goes like some of the mocks I’ve seen

He was a standout at the Senior Bowl for sure. BSPN is wrong most of the time. The highest I’ve seen him ranked is the 4th safety with overall of 54. But it don’t matter how we rank em, its how the Cowboys do. I wouldn’t know a good safety from a bad one for sure.

Yeah, you know ESPN. It was more who they ranked highly than where they had Grant, although I do think that he is a second round pick at the end of the day.

They had Cisco, who was ranked highly about a year ago ranked waaayyy too high and Paris Ford (who ran a 40 in 4.91 seconds at his pro day) is way off too.

It is like ESPN hire some college intern who never watched football to make that list.

I probably like Dane Brugler’s rankings the best, but you have to pay for the athletic.

But you should look at The Draft Network rankings. They aren’t perfect but they’re a lot closer than most to actually ranking the guys right. I look there often.

Yeah those pay sites are frustrating. Headlines look good so you click on the link and whammy. Pay up or go home. I go home.

Every draft analysis I read of him is very positive. I don’t get why most rank him as low as they do. How fast is his 40 time?
 
No thanks to Grant as a top 45 prospect.
No thanks to secondary with our top 2 picks unless there’s undeniable value...and Grant isn’t that. Our front 7 needs a lot of help too

I subscribe just for his draft work but admit their content in general is very good

Grant? The UCF pro day is April 1st, so we’ll know for sure what he runs then. However, just watching the guy play, he has good speed for a single high safety. He moves well. He shouldn’t be rated very low anywhere now, unless they have very old rankings.

Now, after a really good Senior Bowl, his ranking have risen to 2nd round primarily. Some have him in the 3rd and I’ve seen him projected late round 1 a few times. Overall I’d guess second round.

Love both players, but I question if they take McNeil that high. Yes, after Grant big drop-off at the position.
