Seems like Winfrey is getting more praise than he has earned. Why do we assume he will be more effective than Rodgers? I think the decision to cut Rogers is more about Jay Toia than Winfrey. It is just a numbers game. Then again, the numbers do not favor a cut at any DT position.

Right now the Cowboys have only 5 DTs that look like 3Ts. Akingbesote, a rookie 7th rounder, Odighizuwa, Solomon Thomas, and Denzel Daxon who will undoubtedly wind up on the practice squad. Then there is Winfrey.

At 1T or NT, they have Toia and Mazi. At this point both of those guys have to make the team and are going to play unless the Cowboys sign someone else. Rogers may not be much, but it seems to me they are heavier at other positions.

Who knows, maybe the allegations just made him slip and "fell through the cracks" to the USFL.
Or, he just was another bad Browns pick that is camp body for Tyler Smith and Booker to beat up on?
At this point, leaning towards the latter. I can see a RB falling due to the sheer amount of capable RB's in the league. A DT with upside would get more leeway.
