If the draft goes like some of the mocks I’ve seen

I'm still holding out hope a deal down from 10 will present itself, and we can land another 2nd and Moehrig.

Corner and DT in 2nd.

LB and OT in 3rd.

I dont at all like to try to shoehorn positions into rounds...and teams definitely don't go about it that way, but considering the available players and how soon a rookie is able to contribute at a certain position....this would be the ideal way to get better quickly.

Also, we need to protect ourselves against some of these one year deals.

Either we won't want to bring some back or won't be able to pay them all.

I doubt these one year deals are as easy to come by next year when the cap increases.

This time next year itll be nice to know we have high picks going into their second year at S, CB and LB, plus insurance in case one of the tackles cant go anymore.

That would be my ideal start, secondary built!
I think even Grant may need some time.....and they are in a position to give it to him.

I wouldn't at all complain if that's how it fell....but they absolutely must get a LB and some DT beef immediately after.

There can't be any RB or TE that they couldn't pass on type of shenanigans.

I know that’s not your list RP, so this isn’t to you.... but whoever made that list is t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e at ranking players.

It is 10 ways kinda wrong.
Ive got the top 10 safeties as
Moehrig
Holland
Grant
Cisco
Bledsoe
Melifonwu
Sterns
Nasirildeen
Hamlin
Ford

The FO is more likely to draft Nixon over McNeil. They love quick twitch guys on the line.

you are right but i am hoping this time they will change their mind because of Quinn.

The credible mocks are built by misinformation fed to the media.

That's how Rich Gosselin does his only he learned they're all lying. He admitted on a morning show that he doesn't watch much college ball so in order to do a mock, he talks to as many personnel people that will talk to him as he can. He was in the pc when Parcells was talking about gamesmanship with the draft and false leads and he was the victim of that when he first had to do mocks. He assumes if they willing to talk to him, they're lying. However, he does figure out the top 100 picks pretty well, just not the teams picking them.

His top 100 is as good as anyone's because he's built it on lies but lies people want to tell. It really sounds like the draft is the most fun these people have all season long. It's not enough to get their guy, they need to fool other teams as a bonus. If you saw that Parcells pc, he looked like the evil little kid when discussing misinformation in the draft.

I do not doubt he told Merriman he was taking him as part of the slight of hand of the draft.

And all of this is perfectly acceptable and they do not lose respect for each other. It's a giant game of Gotchya!

Yeah, you know ESPN. It was more who they ranked highly than where they had Grant, although I do think that he is a second round pick at the end of the day.

They had Cisco, who was ranked highly about a year ago ranked waaayyy too high and Paris Ford (who ran a 40 in 4.91 seconds at his pro day) is way off too.

It is like ESPN hire some college intern who never watched football to make that list.

Their priority is rating$, not accuracy.
