do you think that lowers Rob's chances of getting a HC offer? Would it lower the enthusiasm for "another Ryan?"

There's no shame in losing to Baltimore, but before the season I felt they could be one of the so called top teams that would fall short of the playoffs due to their overreliance on Sanchez. There's always the expectation for a 3rd year QB to "break out," but I don't think he has it in him.

I know the flip side to this issue is what happens here, but do you think Rex's fate could have any impact on Rob's chances?

Yes, I do think it affects Rob's chances.

It's pretty sad logic, but I believe it's the way GMs and owners think.

Not really. Jim Harbaugh was being talked about as a potential NFL coach when his brother's team was 9-7.

Guys are weighed on merit, not blood lines.

....I think you guys are making a leap of logic I wouldn't be comfortable with. Yeah, they're related but their defenses are DIFFERENT as has been discussed in this forum.
