Does Dinucci keep the job over Dalton?

Hard to write Dalton off after 8 quarters of football but that’s hasn’t been any life since that Giants game. I’m not saying we have to win but if he doesn’t turn the ball over and the offense scores 20 points..that’s a step in the right direction.

Even if he looks average, I play him over Dalton. Dalton isn’t on contract after this season and isn’t entitled to anything.

Cowboys have a money incentive* not to play Dalton, so if Ben plays well they can save a few million going into next year and know they have a good backup for the next 3 years at a cost controlled rate.

*Edit, it's 50% + a playoff berth for his first incentive. Thought it was just playing time.

So, nevermind there even if he plays a lot and if they get kicked out of the playoffs

But yea, Dalton isn't entitled to start again if Ben looks "good"

I think he'd have to show a clear difference like Romo/Bledsoe to keep the job. I'm guessing this Sunday night might determine that.

I'll leave the starting decisions up to the coaches but a win'd be a win.

It's something to build on, if nothing else! ;)

N-O-O-O-CH !!!

Anything is possible.

I do worry about Dinucci taking a beating behind this offensive line and it affecting his development.

that’s my biggest worry because he has the raw talent to maybe become something.

should be interesting.

Shows a spark? The spark has already happened and it became a full blown dumpster fire full of over rated and over paid trash players. Now once Jerrah is starting to get rid of some of them its just become a smoldering, stinking, disgusting pile of over paid trash ashes.

If the Nooch just makes it through the game healthy, i think he starts next week too and it will be week to week. Dalton may be just saved for emergency situations, and that means if Nooch gets knocked out. Rush is relevant only for the next couple weeks because it is too soon to get Dalton in.

Who are all these over rated players on offense
Besides zeke lol

If Ben somehow leads the team to a W on the road on Sun, then hell yes you keep starting him!

This team needs something, ANYTHING to go right that they can rally around. If that ends up being a 7th round, rags to riches, feel good QB story— so be it lol

I’d start him the rest of the season
Martin should be back so that helps his chances of surviving
One reason is if you develope him you get a cheap backup next year

I'd be happy with the team showing a pulse and competing for the first time in three weeks. I don't think they have a snowball's chance in hell of winning but maybe they can make the Eagles sweat little. Maybe..

I wish Dalton didn't get hurt, but it was pretty obvious he was not comfortable under pressure. I would try to trade him if possible to stay away from incentive payments during a lost season.

Based on how this free agency has gone I expect for Dalton to be cut like the rest of this free agency class not named Zeurelin.

Any spark at all you keep the hot hand out there. I don’t see that happening but it’s not impossible!

:lmao: "If the offense shows a spark" Yeah when they short-circuit. The Cowboys are done in 2020. It does not matter who finishes the season as the QB, so why ask about it? Dak will be back in 2021.

Don’t block. Tell us how you really feel. Lol

My guess is Dalton’s brains are scrambled eggs for about a month. Maybe longer.
