If The Robert Quinn "I Want Out Of Chicago" Are True

I'd have no interest in Robert Quinn. We've placed our bets at RDE with Fowler, Armstrong, Williams and I see no need to spend more when we have other areas like LB and WR that could better use the money.

1: Robert Quinn's pass rush production varies widely from year to year.
- Is it 18.5 from 2021 or 2 from 2020?

2: Quinn is a terrible run defender.
- It is hard to commit to him as a starter unless the other 10 players on defense are super run defenders.

3a: A team acquiring him in a trade inherits base salaries:
2022: 12.8M
2023: 14M
2024: 12.9M

3b: He needs to be a full time starter at those salaries but he would be most valuable used as a pass rush specialist that does not have to play run defense.

If there's anything our defense does NOT need, it's DL who is a terrible run defender. We have enough of that problem already, don't need to make it worse. LOL

Randy Gregory sucks against the run and had only 6 sacks last year and everyone was so mad at the Jones for not taking a clause out of his contract and paying him 15m per year.
Quinn is Gregory only more productive and a few years older.

Not me, I had no problem with that clause in his contract. Knowing Gregory I thought it was a fair and reasonable clause. I'm happy with drafting Williams to replace him.
If Gregory intended to stay clean, he wouldn't have had any problem with it either.

Quinn could elevate their pass rush room immensely.

To refresh memories, in his one season w/Dallas, Quinn had 11.5 sacks, 34 tackles, 13 TFL (Tackles for Loss), 22 QB hits, & 2 forced fumbles. Those stats led the team in almost every category that year. It was head scratching after they let Quinn walk.
