This morning, I was listening to Colin Cowherd (sp?) on ESPNRadio's The Herd on my way into work. He was bragging about how he could gauge which teams could make the playoffs based on their 3rd down conversion success and giveaways/takeaways turnover margin.

He was basing his formula on end of the season results, but I took a stab at who would make the playoffs according to him if the season ended today.

Going by turnover diff., the 12 playoff teams would be:

NFC
Cowboys (2/6/+4)
Packers (3/5/+2)
* Lions (7/8/+1) or Vikings (6/7/+1)
* 49ers (3/4/+1) or Seahawks (2/3/+1)
Buccaneers (2/3/+1)

AFC
Texas (3/7/+4)
Colts (2/5/+3)
Steelers (2/5/+3)
Bengals (5/7/+2)
Bills (1/2/+1)
Broncos (3/4/+1)

* One of these teams get bounced

are TWO completely different seasons IMO.

You see the 6-2 teams finish up with 2-6

You see some 4-4 teams finish up 6-2


So.... with that said... we know nothing about nothing.... 2 game is just 2 games...1/8 of the season
