If they add another receiving weapon/playmaker, who would you want?

Based on the reports and visits, it appears the Cowboys would like to add another weapon to their passing attack, who do you want:

WR-Q. Johnson, Flowers, Hyatt, Downs, Tillman, Rice, Mingo, Dell, Mims, Scott
TE-Mayer, Kincaid, Mustgrave, Washington, LaPorta

With the loss of Dalton Shultz who was Dak's go to guy on third down, think they have to fill that role: either a slot WR or a TE.

The only players listed that I would take at #26: Mayer or Kincaid

Who can I get in the 3rd? Mims, Mingo, ?

I think both Mayer/Kincaid would be excellent fits. Downs could be special in the slot. Mingo/Tillman/Rice all fit that X receiver.

I don't see the need for another WR after signing Cooks. Isn't this class of WR's considered to be a lot of "possibles" with not a lot of sure things?

Also, aren't the more proven receivers in this class considered slot receivers?

Wouldn't you want a new receiver to be primarily an X? Someone that can line up outside & let CD kick in. I mean CD can play both but is well suited as a Z (slot). So, I don't want to draft a Z (at least not until later rounds) unless they are going to be such a mismatch nightmare as to be better than CD in the slot.

Just doesn't sound like our current roster requires a pick in the first three rounds on a receiver unless you believe there is an X with a high floor.

There is no WR or TE that would have the impact Bijan Robinson would. He is a very good receiver out of the back field.

Flowers is probably my favorite option. Would give us 3 studs that can play inside and outside.

I like Kincaid just wish we knew what kind of timed speeds he had.

Shultz, Brown, Hilton and Zeke had a combined 127 catches last season. That's what we have to replace at a min........so even if Cooks is good for 60, can we count on Fergurson/Hendershot for 67?

Flowers is certainly a playmaker, although I haven't seen much of him in the slot. Kincaid to me looks like more of a modern type of TE. Both players would be excellent fits. I actually have these two after Forbes/McDonald.

What worries me about Hyatt is most of his catches are just I will run past you, he reminds me of Will Fuller.

We picked up Cooks, so I don't think we necessarily have a role that needs to be filled. However, since we don't know exactly what we have in the tight ends, I would lean that way between the two choices. Ferguson and/or Hendershot may be fine, but we have a chance to add a stud at the spot with Mayer or Kincaid. Honestly, though, I'm not drafting either position until the fourth round on unless the value is just way too good to pass up.

I'd rank round one playmakers like this:

1 JSN
2 Bijan
3 Kincaid
4 Flowers
5 Mayer

Don't like Addison or Quentin Johnson
100% I am on board with this. . . I do not believe Kincaid will fall but if He did I would be Happy with Him . . . I would love to see what Dak can do with a TE of that Calibur. A broken down Written and High Effort Shultz are not on the same level as far as athletic ability
