Not that I don;t want him here, but I have my concerns about the GP situation. If Pickens and Dallas can't agree on a deal or GP refuses to play on the tag, or if he decides to become a problem and is a cancer in pre-season while unhappy being on the tag, I think Dallas will try to trade him for as much as they can get.
If that happens...does anyone have any interest in signing Brandon Aiyuk? The 49ers are going to cut him. I'm not sure what happened between the team and himself while he was rehabbing his knee injury, but whatever it was it ended very badly.
But before all of that, he was a very good WR for them. IMHO, he could be a great #2 to pair with CDL.

Incites? Thoughts?

They cannot do that ....... because super bachelor Dak apparently needs 2 number one WR's to be successful at this point in his career.

you mean he needs two number 1 ladies (WR) in his life to satisfy his needs hehehe see what i did there.

if a deal can't get done...i'd trade him...and draft a wr early.
flournoy would be my #2.
if pickens gets traded before we're on the clock...i'd think hard about using one of our rd1's on a wr...like the kid from usc....makai lemon.
or the kid from indiana...cooper.
but hopefully they get a deal done with pick.

Pickens will play on the tag and do so happily.
No one is going to drop the draft capital nor give him the top 10 contract he's wanting on just one season of near elite production and his prior background history, especially after his checking out once again in the Detroit game.
The onus is on him to produce for consecutive seasons with as little drama as possible if he wants to get paid. That's a reality I'm sure his agent his agent has explained to him slowly and succinctly!

Doubt it.

He'll do a hold in or whatever it's called that all of Mulugheta's clients do and then the Cowboys will have to give him $40m per.

I find it interesting that we aren't hearing anything. Nothing about the tag or about any negotiations, especially from the GP camp.

TBH, now that the Waddle deal went down I am even more interested in trading him and grabbing someone Aiyuk, or Courtland Sutton. Even before the Waddle trade I heard he could be on the move. And if Waddle got the Dolphins that much GP would bring at least that or more, and we could use it!

i dunno about " playing on a tag happily " .. should GP tear his achilles in '26, , that's the end of his new long term contract bid, ..and there's no guaranteed money that the club would be obligated to pay him regardless. ..

Imo, being tagged simply means the team seems committed to eventually re-signing him to a long term deal.

we're not gonna hear about aggressive negotations this spring ( at least i don't expect to) .. unless it shockily becomes Parsons like bickering that " leaks thru Jerry,
and/or GP's social media party, or a Jane Slater hear say ....

i dont expect an eventual GP trade, based off failed negotations - unless Jerry once again decides to make it " personal " .... ala Parsons trade. .

If there is a new long term deal done, i expect it to be down to the very last wire, very last minute before Tag - deadline.... otherwise GP will agree to sign
for the Franchose tag in 2026

i truly believe GP did what it took to solidify his stockand value to the Cowboys offense ...Pick your poison in who you want to double team and who you want
to single cover.. we have TWO lead receivers, two featured WRs, and imo, the best WR duo in the entire NFL.

What becomes the BIG question is ..
- what will be GP's contract demands ?
- Will he insist on being the NFLs' highest paid WR ? ... Even exceeding CeeDee Lamb's current contract.

I find it interesting that not person who replied to this post even responded to the actual question.
Which is, if GP leaves, would you consider signing B Aiyuk from SF?

No, he is not the same player after all those injuries. Reminds me of Diggs.
