Dear Dave,

Give up on trying to be a singer again. Go back to being an EMT.

Thanks,

See...Sammy is not that bad afterall.

Liked both Dave and Sammy in VH.

Loved these comments:

I’m appalled — much like I was when I heard “Jump” for the first time.

Oh, that is just WRONG! What I want to know is, why the little encore at the end? Would also love to have seen Leno’s reaction

Two thoughts leap to mind:
1. So I guess that song really does suck after all.
2. How did Todd Rundgren manage to miss out on this project?

I did enjoy that… DLR definitely still has the pipes as someone said. But after googling the original “Jump” video (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_jTf_OXkQM) and objectively comparing the two, I really don’t know which one is funnier

I just watched it again.

And my thoughts are still...

WHAT IN BLUE HELL?!?!

Ok... besides the song itself... when did DLR turn into a dork?

Not a well known thing but David Lee Roth was a highly recruited QB coming out of HS. I read one time were as many as 30 colleges, some of them major big time programs, wanted him. He chose Rock n Roll over football. I always gave him credit for that selection given how it turned out. I take it all back. That from a guy who at one time could walk into a club and leave with any woman he wanted, including yours. Tragic.

You're girl doesn't apply then cuz it's not a normal occurance for a 2 year old to be hangin' out in clubs.

Van Halen's "Jump" as a Bluegrass song with the mannerisms of a bad Lounge Singer a la Bill Murray.
