And I meant to say a GM Job not a coaching job.

John Elway in Denver
Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore, though he has since retired.
Who was the guy that went from ESPN to SF I think it was.

Another player, Lynch also went to become a GM somewhere, maybe he is the guy in SF.

that don't make it a bad idea

First, it probably does make it a bad idea. Being a great player doesn’t automatically make a person a great head coach, especially when he doesn’t even have the benefit of having any experience as a coach. Experience does count for something as a coach, just as it does as a player.

But aside from that, you are talking about a pipe dream though - a fantasy. Troy has never shown the interest, and Troy clearly wouldn’t work as a head coach under an owner/GM like Jerry who sticks his nose into what should be the authority of the head coach.

No way. Don't need someone else learning on the job with no relevant experience.

Those 5 star WRs just flock to Clemson. Hopkins, Watkins, Williams...etc.
So many fast, long, athletic and gifted Wideouts.
And then the QB is insanely good. Balls just leaps out of his hands.
Then the nations top scoring defense

Jeez

head of football opps or HC, and I think he might

other than that I really doubt a coaching change would actually help

JG really ain't the problem - the idea any coach could do better in JJ land is a bit of a fantasy

there is so much stupid stuff this FO has caused whining about the coach is a bit insane

but if we change coaches - make it a real Cowboy
Garrett IS the problem - both him AND his culture.

Ironic that the move you are proposing in order to change the dysfunctional way Jerry runs the organization is precisely the kind of move Jerry would make.

Jerry won’t hire an Alpha dog, only a beta.. The Tuna was the last strong willed personality he ever brought in here and that was to get his stadium built...
