If we beat PHI would you make a trade?

I read CMC might be available and that would really help the offense. At least I think it would
I’d take him for the right price….I think he would do better here than in Carolina (as long as he stayed healthy), and better than Zeke. Zeke lost his speed and any shiftiness he ever had. I’m sure Shannon Sharpe would love it lol!

To answer the question, we've been doing pretty good in the draft. Why would we trade? Whoever we acquire to bolster this team's chances down the stretch, he's likely going to command a high draft pick. And I don't see anyone who will help us now.

However, if I had to trade for a position, it would be either a running back or an offensive lineman. We need to continue to wear teams down with our defense.

Would you make a trade and invest future draft capital to put this team over the top? If we beat philly, NFC is wide open. With this defense, this might be our best real chance since 95 to win it all. Who knows if DQ will be here next year. I would do it, go all in, but for what? DT? WR? Another pass rusher?

What would put this team over the top as an undisputed contender?
Its a very good premise you have here, Im curious as to your own thoughts.

If it was you:

-What players and/or what positions would you target

-What resources would you be willing to give up?

It really depends on the availability of potential targets and the return those teams would want, but me, I would target the best offensive playmaker I could for a 1st, WR, RB or TE.

In a second tier, a pass rusher, tackling machine or run stuffer for a 2nd and change and on a third tier an O lineman for a 4th and lower. Any of those I believe would help us this year, is a long season and injuries will happen, I don't think the D will hold up if we demand weekly performances like today.

We go all out and get a winning QB. I’m talking all the draft picks for a certified winner at QB. This defense is once in a decade, maybe even generation. We cannot waste it.

Edit: perhaps another WR wouldn’t be bad either.
You think a defense that gets ran all over it is once in a generation? Are you high?

I understand it would never ever happen but let's just say the Packers lose a few more games. What if the Packers call us and ask Rodgers for Dak and a high end pick. Could you imagine this team with him...oof.

A solid LB might be attainable just because its not s high value position

Id consider an LG too. An upgrade at LG would really improve the line. And McGovern and Farniok would go from marginal starters to solid depth

We still get the 90 m dead cap hit. Use your brain.
Dak is untradeable. Do we have currently the 40M in Space to account for his signing bonus driven dead money?
Even with us eating that 40 million, remaining portion of his contract is not attractive to an acquiring team.
Face the reality that Dak is a cowboy until at least the end of 23.

His salary is insane. It’s Zeke pt. 2.
Maybe they had it wrong then, I will look for the link but if it were to come between CMC and Zeke I'd take CMC anyday. I know Zeke is great as a blocker though and honestly not sure about CMC but can't imagine he's in Zeke's league. Then again if they traded for CMC I would assume Zeke would be gone next year

Adding a new quarterback, with no knowledge of our playbook, Midway through the season… That just makes no sense to me

I swear, it seems that some of you thinks that Dak It’s worth multiple first rounders in trade… I doubt that we could get a conditional fourth rounder for him at this point with that contract… Even if we found some way to free up the 40 million or so it would take to absorb the dead money

SO I think you are agreeing with me...Dak isn't going anywhere...and even if he did, we would have no money to sign anyone. DiNucci would be brought back to QB.

I would try to sucker someone into taking Dak, and his contract.
