If we can beat Cincy we're making a run

Jerry Jones after his Cowboys beat the Giants:

"The bottom line is I see improvement. And with improvement, then we got teams ahead of us (over the final 5 weeks) that we can (beat)."

It's almost like you think Jerry agreeing with you lends credibility to your position as opposed to completely invalidating it?

Doubt the Cowboys can keep up with the Bengals on the scoreboard (too many pts. for a Cooper Rush led offense) but even if they “go on a run”, what are they running toward? Just confirming this isn’t insinuating…playoffs. There’s too much traffic in front of them to consider that.

Credit to the players, and there are a lot of them, who are still playing hard. Ultimately, these efforts could be counter-productive to success in the future.

The low hanging fruit is to remind you that if the team finishes strong all they’ve done afford Jerry the impetus keep as much of the band together as possible. All JJ needs is the hint of an excuse to NOT make changes.

We are getting folks back now. If Cooper plays lights out, we might be able to make a run. That said, there is no way we can compete with the top teams with this roster. We can for sure hang with the sisters of the poor. I still see a 7 win season. Perhaps 8 wins. That's a far cry from the 12 win seasons in the past that netted us a big goose egg during the playoffs. I in fact hope we end up on a losing streak so Jerry can't continue to spin his web of lies that we are "Hanging around the rim". If we are hanging around the rim its because its a 9 foot rim and the better teams are using a 10 foot rim.

at 9 and 8 … and the last slot in the post season.

McCarthy and Zimmerman have a long week here to figure out how to contain Joe Burrow. You can’t stop him because he’s top three in football, but we have to find a way to contain him.

And if lamb is not on the field, we should look to trade him in the off season.
Tampa, Washington and Philly are all tough.

A run to what ?
Say we somehow get a winning record and make the payoffs, what's this teams ceiling?
A first round blowout loss in the playoffs ?
No thanks, I would rather get a better draft pick.
Bah Humbug!

Jerry Jones will see how some Cowboys fans suddenly believe this is a serious contending playoff caliber roster and attempt to use that to his advantage to tell the fanbase and the media that the current Cowboys roster is "so close" to being real contenders. And therefore nothing major really needs to be done to fix or improve the roster going into next season. As he'll say the roster is just fine and only lost in the playoffs because of injury.

Nope. I said at the start of the year this team isn’t making the playoffs and I’ll stand by that.

Burrow will probably drop 3 or 4 Tds against us even with a bottom tier OL

Burrow will throw for 400 against this d. And our offense won't be able to keep pace.

I know the bengals have a bad record, but they have lost a lot of games at the very end.

I see the bengals pulling away and putting an end to the cowboys season.
Maybe Burrow will have an off game against us. Maybe our defense will have an on game. Maybe our offense will start clicking. Who knows? But we will tune in an find out collectively. Hoping the Cowboys win .

Yep, you nailed it...
