how much cap relief would we get? what is reasonable compensation for him?

I have no clue about the 1st question, so I will keep my speculation to myself. As far as the second question, I believe we can get a 4th for him.

Probably compensation of a 6th rounder (since that's what we got for Fergy).

Don't know how much we save.

If we don't trade him, we can use him sporadically on downs where the defense is likely to run, short yardage situations, and special teams coverage.

I guess Parcells and Ireland blew this signing.

Maybe Mike Smith, Atlanta's new coach, who coached Akin In Jacksonville (Defensive Coordinator), will show an interest. I wouldn't expect much more than a 5th round pick for him though.

I'd assume keep him if a 6th is all we get in return.

I agree with the fourth. He is a real time player. I'm not sold he wont be the starter.

he is another Al Singleton. He isnt flashy or anything...but he is solid and gets the job done. I just wish he created more turnovers....

Is he actually on the trading block? I havent heard anything about him being traded other than this board.

I am thinking about it, and the only play that I can remember Ayodele making in two years on this team is a diving interception of a pass against the Bucs and Bruce Gradkowski, I think.

So that's pretty sad.

so thats why the Cowboys signed an ILB who had about the same amount, if not more, tackles in 5 games that Akin had the entire season?

honestly Id rather have Carp backing up Thomas instead. Since its obvious he isnt worried about how he looks as much as perrty boy Akin is. And maybe Thomas can help Carp turn the corner....MAYBE
