3-4 (26)
(6) DE - Canty, Hatcher, Redding, Spears, Ratliff, Bowen
(3) DT - Ferguson, Sands, Soliai
(4) ILB - Carpenter, Ayodele, James, DeOssie

We would have the depth to run either scheme.....

not true....

FA
OG Eric Steinbach or Kris Dielman

DRAFT
3 - OG Manny Ramirez TT (huge and strong, great run blocker, benches 550)
7 - OL Ed McCarthy Yale (can play all T,G, and C)

Isn't CB Asante Samual an UFA? I would take him 1st. That would support the move of Henry to FS.

So we aren't gonna draft anybody on the offensive side of the ball? I have trouble seeing that happen.

Maybe not deossie since we have fowler as well at ILB...maybe we could get a WR there in the 4th?

1 - DE/OLB Moss
2 - CB/KR Ross
3 - OG Ramirez
4 - DT Soliai
5 - CB/KR Bain
6 - ILB DeOssie
7 - WR/RB/KR Ramonce Taylor
7 - OL McCarthy
7 - WR Aaron Fairooz

Sorry.. But we desperately need some Oline acquisition in there somewhere if we don't want to be talking about Romo stew next year.

Ok. That's better. I still think we need another OL acquisition in there somewhere. Perhaps via FA.

i have no clue why people are trying to throw offense into this thread....this thread was about how we could become versatile on defense....and be able to use both schemes

I was expecting someone to bring up my omission of Greg Ellis before bringing up offensive draft picks.

I saw it after I posted. Good deal. Shoring up that OL should be priority #1.

Hey? No Greg Ellis??? What the???? :D

That's way too much emphasis on defense. You would have about a half dozen guys pissed off due to lack of P.T.

Oline and WR need to be addressed in this offseason as well.

Why do we need WR help?

We have TO, Glenn, Crayton - 3 solid players right there....a very nice trio.

Then we have young guys in Austin, Hurd, Rector.......Austin and Hurd made great contributions on Special Teams...now if we could just get them more reps in the actual offense. I want to see what we have in them before we start using early picks on other WRs.....

Drafting Fairooz would add another WR.....he is a 6'6 WR with 4.5 speed. He would be an excellent red zone target.

Drafting Taylor would give us a 3rd RB as well as someone who could also lineup at WR...he could be our version of Reggie Bush or Marshall Faulk.

There are u guys happy now u can see the entire plan offense and defense

FA
OG Eric Steinbach/Kris Dielman
QB Tim Rattay
DT Terdell Sands
DE Cory Redding
OLB Tully Banta-Cain

Draft
1 - DE/OLB Jarvis Moss
2 - CB Aaron Ross
3 - OG Manny Ramirez
4 - DT Paul Soliai
5 - CB Travarous Bain
6 - ILB Zak DeOssie
7 - RB/WR Ramonce Taylor
7 - OL Ed McCarthy
7 - WR Aaron Fairooz

Offense (25)
(2) QB - Romo, Rattay
(3) RB - JJ, MB3, Taylor
(5) WR - TO, Glenn, Crayton, Hurd, Austin
(3) TE - Witten, Fasano, Hannam
(1) FB - Hoyte
(10) OL - Adams, Kosier, Gurode, Steinbach/Dielman, Colombo, McQuistan, Procter, Johnson, Ramirez, McCarthy

K - Gramatica
P - McBriar
LS - Ladouceur

3-4 (26)
(6) DE - Canty, Hatcher, Redding, Spears, Ratliff, Bowen
(3) DT - Ferguson, Sands, Soliai
(4) ILB - Carpenter, Ayodele, James, DeOssie
(4) OLB - Ware, Moss, Burnett, Banta-Cain
(5) CB - Newman, Ross, Glenn, Jones, Bain
(4) S - Roy, Henry, Watkins, Elam

4-3 (26)
(6) DE - Ware, Moss, Hatcher, Canty, Redding, Bowen
(5) DT - Ferguson, Sands, Soliai, Spears, Ratliff
(4) OLB - Carpenter, Burnett, Banta-Cain, Ayodele
(2) MLB - James, DeOssie
(5) CB - Newman, Ross, Glenn, Jones, Bain
(4) S - Roy, Henry, Watkins, Elam

Now we can run either defensive scheme

lol man. You didn't have to do that but thank you anyway.

You know, even if we sign Asante Samuel...I still want to at least draft Aaron Ross. I would see us not going after Bain, but instead going in another direction with our 5th round pick.

I am tired of Reeves....and I want him gone. Ross would be a definite upgrade over Reeves.

If we aren't able to get Cory Redding, we could use our 5th on Brian Robison....He is one of my favorite Day 2 projections.
