If we don't make the playoffs I'd consider trading Dez

Id trade Austin and Witten for mid round picks before thinking about Dez.

If we take everyone else off the team, Romo will be forced to do the smart thing - - which is get the ball to Dez.

Frankly Romo is not Tom Brady ... he cant do it alone like Tom does. This roster needs to be burned to the ground and started over. With all young kids through the draft. But frankly I dont trust our GM to draft effectively. Anyone can pick first and second rounders and hit on them. You need to consistently hit on first second .. then add in 4 5 6 rounders and UFA also. Since Jimmy left we cant do that ... welcome to mediocrity with no escape.

The funny thing about this post, is that is exactly what weve done the last 3 years.

Think about it - we have had just as much contribution from the 2013 class as we have from the 34 picks from 2006-2009 **COMBINED**.

That said, we still have no depth and a lack of talent at key spots.

If Jax, TB, or Oak offered me a 2015 1st round pick for Dez around the July 2014 training camp timeframe, I would seriously consider it. I would go for it and hope it would be the top pick in the draft and I would take QB Jameis Winstonin the 2015 draft.

Why would three teams that seriously need a qb trade away a chance to get a potentially great qb for Dez...?

If Dez becomes a free agent and signs with another team, that's his choice.,and maybe a good one. But if this team were to willingly trade him away I would probably walk away from this joke of a franchise

Well, I'm assuming in the 2014 draft they will all take a QB. Perhaps Bridgestone, Hundley, Manziel or some other high rated QB in the 2014 draft. And they will want to pair their new rookie with a seasoned, top talent WR in Dez. If for example Jax were to take Bridgestone with the top pick in the 2014 draft, I doubt they would take Winston the following year even if they had the top pick.

As long as you-know-who is drunk behind the wheel of this team then re-shuffling the deck of players (and coaches) will not make a lick of difference. His concept of what makes a solid NFL roster is fatally flawed and until he changes or removes himself from the equation then the end results will be the same. We will have a roster comprised of a handful of shiny, over-paid skill position players with zero depth and enormous holes elsewhere.
