I want Kevin Matthews from Texas A&M. He has a 6-7 rd grade.

First of all, I flippin hate the Aggies. The only teams I hate more than A&M are OU, USC, and Notre Dame.

However, I did watch several A&M games this season and they had some nice offensive numbers. The anchor of that OL, which put up a lot of yards and points this season was C Kevin Matthews. He is a little light at 298, but that is ok. We have Gurode right now, so that gives him time to bulk up and add about 15 lbs of muscle to his frame.

The main reason I like the kid is because of his legacy. He would be a 3rd generation NFL player, joining his cousin Clay Matthews, III. His father is HOF OL Bruce Matthews. His uncle is former all-pro LB Clay Matthews, II. His grandfather is Clay Matthews, Sr., who played in the 1950s.

This family has a long, rich history with the NFL. Plus, having grown up in the business and within that family, I am sure he has his head on straight and his priorities in order. I am sure he doesn't want to be the Matthews that messes up the family legacy.

So please Stephen and Jerry, if you pick a center in this draft, Kevin Matthews.

I question how much more he is going to bulk up. A & M has a very well respected weight and strength program. Now if he is fairly young then he could put on some more weight, but realistically with the DTs getting bigger and bigger; throw in really big NT's, and today you really need a center that is really strong and at least 310. That worries me about Pouncey as well. He came into the combine about 15 lbs lighter then expected. Al Johnson had good technique and quickness but he could not bulk up and keep the weight; he would be 305 or so in camp but by December he was nearer 290 and was getting shoved around. Probably why he tried steroids and got caught.

I really don't think we are even looking at a Center we have a all pro center

thats like saying were are drafting Cody number 1 because we have a all pro NT

never have been on the Pouncey Bandwagon

he did nothing at the combine to impress me

if you waste a pick on a C at least pick a center

Matt Tennant, BostonCollege
Height: 6-5. Weight: 300.

Eric Olsen, Notre Dame
Height: 6-4. Weight: 306

Can move around anywhere on the interior.

Erik Cook, New Mexico

i had him in a mock, but he wasnt a pet cat or anything. Actually it is Hos who likes the New Mexico center and the Hawaii center too.

the two centers I have liked were both projected UDFAs prior to the combine.....Kevin Matthews and Joe Hawley

Cook looks nice. Though he is a little tall for my liking- but a couple of inches should not matter as long as the guy is mean nasty and can move.
