If we had more draft picks

and I had my way, we would load up on DBs, OL, and DL in this draft.

Yes, we possibly need another WR. Yes, we need a new FB since Cricket is a complete putz. Yes, we can always draft more LBs (but we have Ware, Spencer, James, Brooking, J. Williams, B. Williams, Butler, CuJo, Carpenter, Octavien, L. Williams, and Woods) We don't need to worry about QB, RB, TE, K, P, or LS in the draft, at least not this season.

If we had the picks, I would go 4 DBs (3 safeties), 4 OL, 3 DL in this draft. If we had any picks left over, I would get a FB.

The 4 DBs I would want to get are CB/S Earl Thomas, S Major Wright, S Eddie Hicks, and CB Walter McFadden. Our secondary needs an upgrade in speed and playmaking ability, something these 4 players can definitely add.
CBs: Jenkins, Newman, Scandrick, Ball, McFadden
S: Thomas, Wright, Hicks, M. Hamlin, and either K. Hamlin or Sensabaugh.

Our OL let us down in Minnesota. We definitely need to upgrade the starting lineup, as well as the backups. We need youth. The four OL I would take are OG Mike Iupati, OT Jared Veldheer, OG Marshall Newhouse, and C Erik Cook.
Starters: Free, Iupati, Gurode, Bigg, Colombo
Backups: Veldheer, Kosier, Cook, Newhouse, Brewster

I like our DL, but it can always be better. I was very pleased with how Spears played last season, Bowen as well. Igor was a great addition. It seems Ratliff is a man amongst boys out there. Hatcher is one of my favorites, but he can be replaced and I wouldn't be terribly upset. Did the light finally come on for Spears, or was he simply playing for his next contract? At any rate, the 3 DL I would want to draft are DT/DE Lamarr Houston, DT Linval Joseph, and DE C.J. Wilson. IMO, the addition of these 3 not only would give us great depth at the DL position, but it would also allow us to run a hybrid 4-3 on occasion just to mix things up and confuse opposing offenses.

If I drafted a FB it would be Jameson Konz from Kent St. If not Konz, it would be Dickerson from Pitt.

If we were to trade Bennett and needed a TE to replace him, I would go after Rob Gronkowski.

i agree with all of that except for a elite kickoff/punt returner, remember wade said that felix jones wasn't going to be used on kickoffs this year

on rob gronkowski, he is iffy since he hasnt run or done anything yet, and back surgery on a football player generally is a bad sign

but i like the other 2 te's
so what i would do, i would bring rodney hannah back if you traded bennett

and get either dickerson or konz

i would also draft a kicker, either in 6th round or 7th

now what i would do is this to get more picks

trade down just alittle your 2nd or 3rd rounder, get 1 or 2 extra picks doing that, then you have enough ammunition to do just that, and with trading bennett you might get a 2nd and 5th or 6th

i would be happy with 3 dbs and 3 offensive linemen, you can only keep so many on your roster

i never said anything about KR in my post....I feel Ogletree, Choice, Crayton, McFadden, or Hicks can cover those duties.

as far as TE, id rather keep Bennett....but you know how those trade rumors are circulating.....and I still feel that Gronkowski is a quality replacement, if Marty is traded, and would be healthy come training camp.

i wont draft a kicker. I want Beuhler to be our sole kicker. I hope he can handle it. i would be open to signing Hunter Lawrence as a UDFA if he doesnt get drafted though. Lawrence is the only kicker from this draft I would want.
