It's really weird to think that after all that has happened this season we still have a shot at the 2 and are only 1/2 game out of the 3. I have hope that this season will work out. I hope Dallas doesn't break my heart...again.

We would be the 3rd seed right now, and a victory against New Orleans from being the 2.

Having said that, the 3 seed is wide open now and if we beat the Saints the 2 would be in play.

This team has proven over the past few years that they will lose when it counts the most. Could this be the year everything changes? Possibly, but the odds are definitley not in their favor. Way to early to be thinking this team has a shot at being the number to 2 or 3 seed. I say win the division 1st and see what happens from there. My feeling is that our playoff hopes will still come down to the final 2 weeks of the season. This team better figure out how to close games or we will be sitting here discussing why and how we missed another opportunity to make the plaoffs.

I would feel better if we were healthy on defense. The offense could work out the kinks and get on a roll. If that happens and the Whomsday Defense continues to make timely plays, we will win the NFC East.

I'm still not over that Lion's game from 2011. The game this year has made me literally sick. I'd like to smack that head coach of their's in the face, but I digress.

As much junk as I have talked about our defense, getting Ware back is big and could make the difference.

Despite all the negatives, we are in control of our own destiny at this point of the season and that is really all anybody could ask for. It's time we got some bounces (and some calls) go our way.

Hopefully Ware is healthy and we can get some hits on Brees, get him looking over his shoulder alittle bit, and win one of these games that everybody (including myself) thinks we shouldn't.

We are due for one. How about we get it?

true...but honestly I'm going to be a little bit shocked if we even win the division and make the playoffs. The Eagles have such a soft schedule remaining and are now playing Green Bay minus Rodgers....the Eagles could very well lose both games to us and still win the division. If San Diego would've beaten Wash yesterday I would've been convinced that the Skins were done for the year but now I'm not so sure. We're going to have to win the rest of our division games (which I'm not convinced we can do), beat Oakland and we may still need to win a game most think we can't...i.e. Chicago, Green Bay, or New Orleans.

Things would have turned out differently the past 3 seasons if the Cowboys didn't blow games. They would have gone 12-4 in 2011 if it weren't for blowing leads to the Jets, NE, AZ and the Giants. They've already blown three 2 score leads this season.

Guys, our goal is 8-8 and we're right on track.

I'd really like to be able to rebut you here but alas, the is some truth in that statement. Doesn't mean I like it tho:D

The only games that will haunt us is any future losses at this point. We still control our own destiny in the division. Right now that's what I'm focused on. Rather 4th seed or 3rd seed or even 2nd. That will come later. Next goal, win 3 in a row.

its a process

plus, it is easier to stack 8 boxes on 8 boxes
it would be a lot harder to stack 10 boxes on top of 6 or 11 boxes on top of 5

the process works

Can say this about every game we've played and lost this year.

We would be 6-3 with a 4 game win streak.

Stuff like that builds confidence. Builds trust.

Everyone starts believing, .. giving that little extra attention to every detail.

With a little extra distance between us, and the iggles and skins.

hence the process

just dont judge our HC by the results

Process is this:
Stack the bigger boxes on the bottom [since losses seem to be more of an issue than wins, hence, they are bigger]
Stack the wins on top [since wins seems to be...we should have won in style, they are smaller]

I do however want one big box [win] at top, and when opened it has a SB trophy to top it off.....:)

The only way to make up for a blown game is to win some games you're not suppose to win which the Cowboys have had great difficulty doing the past few seasons. I'm sure most of us marked down the Detroit game as a loss when we looked at the schedule in Sept and leading up to the game 2 weeks ago. I knew the Cowboys D would have real issues containing Stafford to Megaton although not quite to the extent it turned out to be. The Cowboys have lost to every team most of us thought they would lose to except for KC who no one thought would be nearly as improved as they've been.

The Cowboys are going to have to beat everyone they're favored to beat the rest of the way and beat at least 2 teams they're not favored to beat to assure themselves a playoff spot. They'll be dogs to the Saints next Sunday. Possibly to the Giants if they keep winning. They'll be dogs on the road vs the Bears in Dec and to the Packers (with Rodgers) in week 15. There's a good chance they'll be be dogs on the road in Washington in week 16. They'll no doubt be a lot riding on that game for both teams.

it wouldn't be a Cowboys season without being able to lament terrible losses

It wouldn't be an NFL season. We act like we are the only team that has lost close games. Almost every NFL loss in this era is a close loss.

We win @NO and I´ll believe, in the mean time I see us at 8-8, no more no less.
