If we lose to the Vikings please don't...

Like I said before , we have to take advantage of these opportunities. They don't come along very often - especially with the injury situation we have right now.

I will be very dissapointed if we lose, especially if we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot with penalties. Those penalties took a dominant 1st qtr against the Eagles and made the score tied at 0-0.

The season won't be a waste and Wade should keep his job for sure. That said, I want to win the Superbowl. We have a young core that could win 2-3 in the next 5 years IMO and I would love to see it. The team is a solid unit and they have all the ingredients THIS YEAR to get it done. I know to the team, they will consider it a huge dissapointement if they don't win it.

Go Cowboys!

1. Say the Cowboys were a fraud

2. Say Wade Phillips needs to be fired

3. Say the entire Season was a waste.

Thanks :)

i don't need emotional insurance at this point. that's all that other crap is to me.

I think it all depends on how they play...if they lose I mean.

If they lose by a good amount and just look totally sloppy and so on then I don't see why people would not complain and say this or that.

If they lose by a close margin then I don't see to many ways to go all buttsore and use the things the OP talked about.

People may think the Vikings are inferior and therefore there is no way we should lose to them. I find that as bunk. They are a good team and they are in the playoffs so they are a good team. If that were not the case I guess we should not even play the game...just give us the win and let us worry about the next team.

I agree that they are a good team, but I don't think that they are a great team. Minnesota's season was legitimized by their relatively strong and emotional performances against a division rival that had a lot of early protection issues and one strong win against an up-and-down Ravens squad. They have looked pretty bad down the stretch with the exception of the Giants game. I saw that game and couldn't believe how little effort the NY defensive line put forth and have to believe that game sealed Waulfe & Sheridan's fates (along with some requisite scapegoating). That being said, TE Visanthe scared the hell out of me.

If we play in a manner consistent with our recent performance, we should win. If we got too much moxie from avenging the Eagles and show up flat or are horribly out strategized then fans have a right to be angry. Getting to this round is no easy matter in the post cap era, we were here 2 years ago and need to make this one count.

Stupid, overreactionary people are going to say stupid, overreactionary things. That's just basic physics.

Physics? :)

What do you think would be an appropriate response if we come out flat or kill ourselves with penalties, or get badly outcoached?

Whether the Cowboys win or lose please refrain from starting threads attempting to tell everyone else what to say and how to act.

Thank you.

This thread was suppose to be sarcastic folks.

Lighten up.

Sarcastic or not, each of those things would be said at least three times in the game-day thread before the end of the 4th quarter. That's in a hypothetical la-la land where we lose this game.

How 'bout this: if we win this game, please no photoshopping Wade's head onto Yoda's body. Actually, please don't do this whether we win *or* lose. Andy Reid on Jaba is ok, though.

Something that isn't completely moronic.

Well if we lose to the Vikings I dont see how this year was any different than 07.

Yes, we won a playoff game, but we still exit via the divisional round. Depending on how we play, I'm not going to say Wade has kept his job just yet.

#1. We weren't expected to do this well so I wouldn't feel we were a fraud.

#2. Wade saved his job with the playoff win ( along with Shanny signing with the Skins )

#3. The season WOULD BE a "Waste" but it WOULD BE an Improvement in the right direction.

There's a whole lot of people who think winning a Wildcard game is very different from a Wildcard bye week. One upside to a disastrous loss this weekend would be watching them reconcile their previous takes.

Personally, if we do lose, I'll be even more depressed than I was when we lost to the Giants in '07.

Why? Because when we lost to the Giants, I was able to rationalize that we probably weren't winning the Super Bowl regardless, and I'm a "1 winner 31 losers" kind of guy.

New England stomped us in the regular season and I had no reason to believe we'd be able to win a rematch. And I still don't think we would've... the Giants DL was far better than ours was at the time, and that's what was needed to beat Brady.

But right now, this year, we have as good a shot as anybody. And if we keep playing at this level, there will be a parade in North Texas next month.

So a loss would just kill me.

Or that Romo sux.

I've said it before.. No matter what happens from here on out my heart is at peace already. That win V.s Philly was more then just a playoff win.

Now I will be mad if they lose but my belief for this team is lock solid now.

I will be no less disappointed, but the trajectory of this year will at least have been positive - building on tough losses, changing game plans, giving pine time to some starters that aren't getting it done, and a noticeable lack of false bravado.

2007 developed into an embarrassment, culminating in a stupid loss with an arrogant and unprepared team.

That being said, we still have enough talent, health and momentum to beat the Vikings, failing to do so would be unacceptable IMO.

We beat Favre in his prime.

We will beat him as a grandfather.

I have zero doubt. The Pack have to play a perfect game to beat us.

The egals are flat-out demoralized by the beatings they took. :lmao2:
Their entire off season will be a campaign on beating Dallas in 2010. It's very satisfying.

I felt the same way that year - we were #2, but couldn't beat Belichick. I'm not so sure this year how we rank overall. It will be interesting to see how the AFC plays out - Rivers and Manning will be tough to beat
