Week 1 was ugly, but do we match up well against them? Remember, they also handed Philly their only loss.

I give us 49/51 odds.

We played horribly in game 1. Basically gave ourselves no chance to beat a team of that quality. They will be getting Aldon Smith and possibly Bowman back.

But:

If we met again, the O-Line will have had 16 weeks to gel, Romo's getting healthier weekly, and we will also be adding talent unavailable to us week 1 (Spencer, Lawrence, and Moore is better than Claiborne)

Gun to my head, I'd probably lean toward SF,- but I give us a great shot to win.

If we didn't turn the ball over 4 times we probably win in week 1. We played bad and probably deserved to lose to any team that week.

50/50. I would rather play Seattle.
Hopefully some other team knocks them out of the playoffs.

Yes.

I thought the 49ers shut it down in the 2nd half of that game after going up big. After watching the next 5 Cowboys games, I'm thinking they just got their butts kicked once Dallas settled down and stopped giving them the game.

Seattle is better than San Francisco. Winning there is harder than beating the 49ers in Dallas.

If not for shooting ourselves in the foot, we would've been beaten them in the first game. We have improved across the board since then so yes the Cowboys would win.

The only teams I don't like our chances against are the Broncos and Chargers, and that's purely due to their QBs. If we play mistake-free football, I think we can dominate both of those teams as well.

1. First drive: 49ers return the fumble for a touchdown.
2. Next drive: Two incomplete passes and a sack inside the 49ers' 11-yard line.
3. Next drive: Pass, run, interception.
4. Next drive: Interception inside the 49ers' 5-yard line.
5. Next drive: Interception after being pinned deep in Dallas territory.

At this point, it is not a 100% certainty that DeMarco Murray will put the ball on the ground in the first quarter. Tony Romo is much healthier than he was in week one. His throws and decision-making have improved during that time. Likewise, the defense has gotten better in that time too.

Eliminate the first half mistakes and we win. I am confident we would play much better in a rematch. I say yes.

They're a team that if they play their best game and we play terribly they can beat us. But that's true of some other teams. See Colts and Philly. I don't put those teams in the same category as the Chargers and Broncos.

If we protect the ball and keep having success on the ground with big plays in the passing game, we can play with anyone. - or at least, so it seems.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. Sans 4 TO's, we could have won.

Given that, we will NOT spot them 4 TO's the next time around.

I think we do, but SF is the only team to beat the Cowboys and Eagles. They have also been to the NFC championship 3 yrs straight, they are the team to beat.

Guys, we can beat anyone, anywhere. Let me say it again for emphasis; we can beat ANYONE, ANYWHERE.
