If We Run It Back Complete Failure Is Best Case Scenario

I’ve said it for years.

The only way Jerry is going to move on from guys like McCarthy and Dak is by complete failure.

I don’t mean an embarrassing loss in the playoffs as the #2 seed either.

I’m talking about not even making the playoffs at all. I’m talking about the locker room imploding. I’m talking about the players that actually want to succeed turning on the ones that are happy to just be there.

There needs to be a spilt in that locker room. The guys that schedule victory parties before games need to be put in their place by the guys that put their heads down and go to work every week.

Maybe the loser mentalities outnumber the winning ones inside the star, regardless those that want to succeed need to step up and stop letting losers dictate their success.

This needs to happen because Jerry is perfectly happy going 12-5 and losing in the playoffs.

This year is complete failure.
No. Complete failure nets high draft picks and culture/regime change. This is right in Jerry's wheelhouse. This is where he's able to sell the ketchup popsicle to the weak minded. "We're just a couple players away and Dak will be good enough to take us all the way."

This was a huge success in Jerry world.

People still do not understand this man. Networks captured Jones being pissed Sunday. Not mad. Pissed.

It has been said before. I will repeat it again. Jones wants to win. He wants to win and be credited for winning.

Jones' mindset is not like yours, mine and many other people. He will not defer credit by taking himself out of football decision-making. HOWEVER, he believes he is not a problem to the team succeeding. He points his finger at others for failing.

"Normal" people would demonstrate they want to win by having other, qualified people attempt to achieve what they could not. Jones is not like most people. He is a narcissist. Dallas Cowboys fans are stuck with a narcissist, someone who will not defer his authority and influence to others in order to win without him at the center of his universe.

Some people keep banging their heads against a wall thinking this idiot does not want to win because he will not make the sensible business decision of becoming JUST the owner and self-appointed president of his franchise. How many years must go by before people put two-and-two together--seeing this man getting pissed off losing but STILL remain sitting on his throne?

Complete failure next year just feels like it would be catastrophic and guarantee this team is a failure for the next 2-4 years. Realistically this offseason they will look at extensions for Dak, Parsons, Lamb, Bland who should all cost quite a bit of money.

Odds seem to be that you'll have a new DC who is going to want new players at certain positions to fit a new scheme. They also need to land a RB and probably multiple pieces on the Oline either though free agency or the draft. This team has a lot of work to do this offseason.

Running it back is fine, but running it back feels like an all in type of move from the Cowboys this year, and failure is going to stick this team with a ton of massive contracts they can't get out from if they did decide to tear down.

Nah man, he knows he's the problem. He's said in the past he would have fired himself for his performance as a GM. So he knows.

WHEN Jerry makes no changes outside of replacing DQ this offseason (bc the longer we move away from Sunday, the more likely I think it is), this team WILL implode next year and God willing they finish 4-13.

He’s 100% right- nothing will change until the PAIN for JERRY gets GREAT ENOUGH to finally MAKE CHANGES. That ain’t happening until this team goes 5-12 or 4-13 and completely ***** the bed. I agree w mountaineer 100% and anyone who tries to claim they’re “more of a fan” bc they disagree with the idea that missing the playoffs will bring change is delusional. The idea that this idea also is somehow “trolling” is the PROBLEM with this fan base. Zero standards, zero desire to have this team WIN A SUPERBOWL.

Damn dude......you understand what you are saying? Over half, if not most owners, GMs, coaches and players would be very happy with this. ey Why......they'll take the odds that if they can get to the playoff every year, they will eventually get a win or two. That's certainly better than losing...
I do agree when you settle the emotion of the playoff losses.......MM and Dak have been consistently winning. Just not enough to meet the standards and expectations fans/media been waiting 25+ years.

Pay him no mind.

Dak over Dallas fans aren’t Cowboys fans.

Jerry is a stubborn idiot. Does he not realize he's going to get credit regardless? He's the damn owner........... If he truly wants to win, and I don't think he does, he knows what has to be done. A 'normal' person would have figured that out 25 years ago, but we all know Jerry isn't normal.

In comments not long ago he said he would do 'anything' to win. Everyone knows this is a lie. He won't do 'anything'.

You don’t understand.

The Cowboys aren’t playing to win.

They are playing to simply compete.
