you take Dwayne Jarrett if he drops to us...just like you take Steven Jackson if he drops to you that late in the first....you take him because he would be the BPA at a position where we're old...

I understand your position of taking the best player available and I too subscribe to that theory.

However, we don't know if he will be the BPA and who else might drop to #22. We will have to wait and see who is on the board when we are on the clock to make that determination.

I can't see Jarrett falling to #22. As a USC fan, I've followed USC games and he is a clutch and great WR for USC, if miracle happens and he is there at #22, I hope 'Boys select him.

I can see it happening.

It's a deep WR class and he isn't exactly a burner. If he runs a lackluster 40 during his pro-day, I can definitely see him falling to us at 22.

And for those that think we shouldn't take this kid 'cause he's a "punk", well that seems to be the norm in the NFL these days. I dunno what it is, but being a punk and a WR seems to go hand in hand. The Marvin Harrison's of the NFL are becoming a rare breed. Live w/ it.

Dwayne Jarrett is like Terrell Owens, he catches short passes and take em for long gains.

that's wrong....Dwayne Jarrett makes crazy, one-handed catches in heavy traffic AND THEN takes them for long runs....Terrell Owens drops half of the passes that are thrown to him. I don't think drops will be a problem Jarrett has. If you want to compare Jarrett, makes more sense to compare him to Plaxico Burress....I see them as most similar type WRs...although I think with the right 'tude, Jarrett can be much better.

Right now, I'm hoping the Lynch scandal drops him and he's available when we pick because I honestly think we need a playmaking RB worse than we need a playmaking WR, at least for the short term.
But if Jarrett AND Lynch were somehow on the board when we picked...would be a tough choice IMO. Lynch could probably help us more immediately.

if he's anything like Plastico, no thanks

Lynch could probably help us more immediately

as a 3rd team RB?

honestly, we dont need any RB's, especially RB's that have off field issues

Did he serve jail time? Was he convicted or just merely accused? Kobe Bryant was "accused" of rape and yet, he emerged victorious and is still a superstar.

And I completely agree that Lynch would help. JJones' contract is up soon and we can let him go or trade him. Marshawn would be the best back on the team if we drafted him. Additionally, I can tell you that he's a very humble and loyal person. Some people you wouldn't be surprised to hear about an assault accusation/charge, but with Marshawn, it's shocking. Totally unlike him.

Dwayne Jarrett and Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn and Patrick Crayton and Sam Hurd and Miles Austin... That's should be our wide receiver core.

I really like this wide receiver and I believe he could be coached up into one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. I think we should draft him.
If Landry, the safety fom LSU,Nelson, the safety from Florida,or Revis, the corner from Pittsburgh, isn't there, then I would love to have Jarrett

Marshawn is pretty amazing.

All you guys with your West Coast bias, ESPN, Ride the S "lets never travel and play tough opponents" EC nonesense.

Lynch is arguably the best RB in the country. Peterson can't stay healthy.

I think any team that takes him that high is stupid. Look at the other USC WR, granted he was off for a year, but didn't do anything great with the Lions. USC usually has good QBs and WRs look better than they really are. I hope Dallas doesn't take him.

What I really want is to trade up to get Calvin Johnson from GT, him or AP as the running back of the future will be a dream come true for me at least.

Ok. So how many decent running backs in the past decade have been 6'1" or taller? Looks like just one.

That's about what I thought.
