Then you just heard exactly what I believe, and I think most of your believe about how to "fix" this.

Terry, Howie, and most importantly Jimmy, said that the focus of the team has to change. It can't be about selling the "brand name" it has to be about championships. And they all agreed that Mike Singletary changed the culture in SF and one of the key reasons is that HE IS IN CHARGE. Bradshaw said he has never been around a successful head coach who didn't have a plan for winning and wasn't in charge.

Basically, all three were saying, Wade needs to go and Jerry needs to get the heck away from the team and let the head coach do his job.

but that's just it....jerry wants to be in charge. he hated not being in charge with jimmy. after some bad hires, he gave in and hired bill and while the team improved, he hated it becuase bill shut him out. once he saw an opportunity to change that and replace it with someone he can control, he did it...

Not gonna happen. Jerrah has too big of an ego. Until he mans up and fires himself as GM, this team won't go anywhere.

many of us have been saying this for years.

Discipline needs to take place over visibility, respect and accountability needs to take place over drama and attention.

When you dont respect the game and the league karma comes back and gets you. And there was karma jumping all over jerry jones today, if he cant see it then we are all doomed for many more years.

It's just not gonna happen. It took us hitting rock bottom for Jerry to come to his senses and do what seemed like the right move to get Parcells and when things didnt go as smooth, he showed his true colors again. We just have to wait it out and hope he doesnt go the Al Davis route.

This will never happen. In about 1-2 years, we'll be jealous of Al Davis. We can only hope that Jerry sells the team.

I don't care what Jerry does anymore, but I can guarantee you one thing, he won't get a single penny out of me again (and he hasn't in quite some time).

This team has been about the brand name for years...you could probably even argue that it was about that when we were winning super bowls.

We are doomed as long as jerry owns the team. He is obviously making a ton of money and is in charge. thats what he is after. As long as the stadium sells out and the merchandise is selling, that is all that matters.

I still think Jerry has done the number one most important thing an owner/GM has to do, which is put good players on the field.

After that, its up to the coaches to get these guys ready to play, keep them motivated and make adjustments as needed.

The second most important thing is choosing the right coaches, clearly after Jimmy left he made 3 poor hires in Switzer, Gailey and Campo. He made the right move to get Parcells, and I thought hiring Wade was the right move at the time.

Its clear after the last two games though that we are not going anywhere with Phillips. The team as a whole has regressed badly and today they blatantly mailed it in (read, QUIT). Jones has to make a change, and not just at HC.

ROFL. The NFL is about SELLING a product. It's a business.

The fact is, Jerry doesn't put his ego over winning. That is effn garbage, because if he's such a great businessman, then he would know WINNING equates to great business. He may think he's not part of the problem, which is a possibility, but to say he puts his ego over winning is asinine.

It may not be ego, but alot of it is him being greedy. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to build a glamour product and turn into a championship contender and that doesnt hardly ever work.

Start thinking of Jerruh in the same vein as an
Al Davis or G. Steinbrenner, unless he VOLUNTARILY
gives up control!

His ego is overriding his common sense.:banghead:

I understand what you are saying about Jerry but it he has to let go. If this game and especially THIS season doesn't tell him that then I don't know what will. This was supposed to be THE season to finally win a playoff game, maybe get to and win the Super Bowl. None of that happened. This wasn't supposed to be some rebuilding year or year to get some respect back this was supposed to THE season. That's why I think Jerry has to see the light and let the football people do their jobs and stay out of the way. I hope he realizes this now before it's too late.

I agree. Jerry isn't perfect, but he puts the players and the coaches in positions to win which is his number one job.

that is the exact problem.

JJ wants to build a glamour product and build it into a championship contender.

actually, you should build a championship contender and it will automatically become a glamorous product.

he has it exactly backwards. the problem is the bus driver is blind and dosent want to listen to people who can see.

i will wait and see what JJ does this off season.

for my money, if scott pioli is available, i call him tonight and ask him what hew wants to be GM. then let him do the hiring and firing. but that will likely never happen.

Agreed, I started thinking that he was like Al Davis earlier today...don't get why it took so long.

I think it was in Friday Night Lights when they said..."Lose and go play basketball" :laugh2:

Not gonna happen though I wish it would. Apparently losing and having a pathetic team is fine with Jerry as long as he's making $$$$$$$$$$ and getting to do what he does!
