and you are in desperate need of a first down, throw it at McCray. The Steelers got 5 first downs and a TD against McCray today.

Unfortunately, due to the massive number of injuries, he still has a job. I hope that this is his last year in a Dallas uniform. He is absolutely dreadful and a total liability in our secondary.

We continue to win, despite the play of McCray.

He's basically a top STs guy forced to play a lot of defensive reps.

Maybe Peprah is back soon. Not much we can really do at that Safety spot right now.

McCray is basically a 3rd string corner.....he's a special teamer that's come in and asked to be a starting caliber safty during the mid to end part of a season he's going to look bad at times, but i'm sure he'll make some plays soon

to Ryan's defense, he made an adjustment at halftime and put Sterling Moore on Miller in the second half and he held him to one catch.

I think that after Jenkins leaves, Moore may be a player we need to look at re-signing.

he is the weak link to this defense. i wish we could put a corner at his position when we go the nickel and dime defenses.

I agree. He's not a bad depth player.

He's a ST player but has to play now because of injuries. He doesn't deserve to be criticized for that.

He also was in a lot of man coverage on a former first round draft pick who happens to be one of the best pass receiving TEs in the National Football League. There aren't many safeties or LBers who can cover Heath Miller in man coverage.

The Cowboys gave him a 2-year contract.

Danny McCray is going to be a very big liability next week against the Saints. He's the worst player in the secondary.

M Johnson is on IR designated to return.

I wonder if RR tries him out at some stage? He may be too far behind to do much this season, however. But perhaps the staff wants to take a look at him at some stage if they feel he and McCray are about even.

Hopefully Claiborne is back and maybe RR puts Carr at Safety.

He won't be available until the second round of playoffs though I think.

I don't agree with taking your best cover cornerback out of his natural position of covering WRs one on one...but if the Saints are smart at all, Jimmy Graham is going to do major damage up the seams.

What we've seen over the middle/seams all season is exactly why Barry Church got his extension, and also part of that huge hole in coverage left by Lee/Carter.

The fact that we're still winning is a testament to the culture change Jason Garrett has brought to this team. The conditioning and never-say-quit attitude always gives us a shot to win the close ones.

When is peprah coming back?
Yes this. I never thought I'd be praying for Peprah but man do we need him back there.

That guy REALLY needs to be off the field. He is beyond a liability. He's just disastrous. I hope a guy like Peprah can come in and take away most of McCray's snaps.

The guy was never meant to be a starter on defense. He's an ST's ace, nothing more.

Completely agree. This would be the equivalent of Joe Fishback or Elvis Patterson getting a lot of burn due to injuries during the 1990s. McCray is doing his best - he just isn't fluid or fast enough to handle coverage duties. Not his fault that he is in that position.
