in 5 of them in the 70's WON TWO

in 3 of them in the 90's WON THREE

now if we can get to a few of them this decade and win one we will separate ourselves from the pack as far as dominance for sure....even if the steelers win tmro....they have the 70's...nothing in the 80's...in one in the 90's...one this decade still wont secure it for them...we pretty much have it now anyway the way things are...if not us then who? the 9ers? won some in the 80's....one in the 90's...nothing in the 70's....not a sniff since 94....they arent going to win anything this decade either....

AND IN A YEAR OR TWO THEY WILL BE saying this again....there goes those &*&^%^** cowboys again! that's why we are the most hated franchise around the country by non-fans...dont ever let anyone tell you any different...BECAUSE WE DO IT RIGHT!

Cowboys in the 60's ?
Cowboys in the 80's ?
Cowboys of the 2000's...YTBD.

Good points, yet bad analysis.

Opinion of a Commanders fan so take it with a grain of salt.

The Cowboys of the 2000's have obviously been 'eh,' but at one point or another in both of those decades (60's and 80's), the Cowboys had arguably the best team in the NFL... certainly in the 60's.

Wow ... are we really talking Cowboys and Super Bowl in the same sentence?

Sorry gents, with our porous OL, dinasaur at QB and aging WR's ... this is not the stage to set for a Super Bowl run.

I know, I know ... the Ravens did it without a star QB. Once out of 40 tries.

My view of NFL history is this...the franchises who established themselves did so after beating the Cowboys. The Cowboys are the only team that was an elite team and direct competitor to the dynasties of each decade.

The Packers of the 60's made their name, in part, vs the Cowboys with two CLASSIC championship games.

The Steelers of the 70's did the same vs the Cowboys in two Super Bowls.

And the 49ers tangled with the Cowboys throughout the 80's and in fact, began their dynasty in a game vs the Cowboys ("The Catch").

The Cowboys became the team of the 90's.

NO other franchise has this kind of history.
