I would like to fly for the Blue Angels, now that would be a total blast. The squirrel suit thing looks pretty fun too. Probably anything that involved speed and height would suit me just fine.

Good call on the blue angles. Heck I would be happy to be able to go for a ride with one of them.

If you have surfing videos of that I'd love to watch them.
I'll ask one of my buddies if they have anything. I know they took some photos, but we are talking > 15 years ago. I recall several people on the beach with a "bazooka" lens. But I'm not sure about video.
I think once they even got some photos from a helicopter.

Get this, the son of a long-time childhood friend of mine was runner up at the Pipeline Masters 2 years ago. Last name is Barley.

Give me a bike or motor cycle, a ramp and something to jump. It was hard growing up watching guys like Evel Knievel and not want to go do it

I'd totally grind the crack.

This.

I've surfed some decent sized waves, cleared 80ft gaps on a snowboard, and raced cars.....but that would be a whole different level.

Sam, when you have the time, can you explain to me exactly where are the mavericks? I evidently live within 30 miles of them here in Pacifica, CA. I have been out a few times to see those 50+ ft waves to no avail.

You are about 2-4 miles from it. :laugh2:

Mavericks on Google Maps

The huge waves only happen after a large winter storm in the northern Pacific or a typhoon or something near Japan. Sometimes it can take a few days before the waves arrive at Mavericks. So, when you see a huge winter storm, you can expect the waves to arrive somewhere between 24 and 72 hours depending on how far out the storm is.

EDIT: I will be in San Francisco in April. We are going to rent a car and go up to Muir Woods and maybe Napa Valley. I might take a spin down to Mavericks too while I'm there.

Great, thanks. I knew I was always near them, just had no idea how to actually get to the beach, there aren't many signs that say "this way to the mavericks" heh

If I remember, I don't think there is much of a beach there either. It's generally not very safe due to all the rocks.

I could tell you some stories about jumping that you'd enjoy. I used to love to do it. We all did because of Evel. Furthest I ever jumped was about 80 feet on a Yamaha XT 500. Never was great at it, but did have some fun.

Myself. I would get kids (younger than me) to lay down between the home made ramps and jump them. :laugh2:

Only reason I pointed out younger than me you it was hard to find people dumb enough to do it. :laugh2:

I would say my max jump on a motor cycle was about 25 yard wide creek.

We did that on bicycles. My brother Dave was the crazy one almost always at the end. I took his cap off with the back tire one time.

Worst jump on a bike, hitting the ramp and the front tire came off while in mid air. I held it for a few seconds then the front end came down forks stuck into the pavement and I went over the handle bars

The Flying Wallendas...that's what I would like to do. Walk a tight rope between buildings 10-15 stories high!

Try peddling your bike has hard and fast as you can with your head down and not looking where you are going...then BOOM....run into the back of a parked car.

Hurts like hell...and it broke my handlebars.

Was at my grandparents as a youth. They had an old bike that had the banana seat and the handle bars that are kind of like the ape hangers on motorcycles. I decided to try and get some speed up and ramp it off a small retaining wall...bad idea.:laugh2: knocked the breath out of me and I thought I was going to die until I got my breath back.
