We all know that Garrett is the HC in waiting, but if you could pick the next coach who would it be?

1. Would you stick with Jerry and go with Garrett. Maybe he instills some of Jimmy's philosophies that he witnessed himself.

2. Would you go after a former HC like Shanahan, Cowher, Holmgren, or Gruden?

3. Would you trend like the rest of the league and hire a young HC like Tomlin, Whisenhunt, Haley, Mangini?

4. Would you hire someone that already there like DeCamillis or hire a coach from college?

Personally I would stick with Garrett because I still believe in his offense. He just needs a QB that can take care of the ball more.

You mean like Romo did in the Tampa game?

Exactly like Romo did in the Tampa game. I like Romo, I still believe in him. He just needs to continue to improve.

I think Holmgren if your looking short term, Shanahan if your looking for a name and Cowher if you want to make a splash.

I honestly would love Cowher or Shanahan but I'm not sure it's the right direction to go for the long term success of this team.

First, let me say this; we dont need to be thinking about a new head coach;
We need to back the cowboys, sure get onto wade if he needs it; but back the cowboys; otherwise your sending a bad message to the team;

2nd our we or myself happy the way the defense has played last 2 games? No! Could it be better yes, so sometimes if you light a fire underneath someone then that person gets into gear. Like wade said changes need to take place and it starts with me, as well as romo.

now do those changes wade; understand me wade my first thought is always to have the team win championships. If that means saying somethings and getting on your case so be it. Sometimes the truth hurts, but you were hired mainly to fix the defense wade and its not being done, your not doing your job.

Garrett is fixing the offense, with the offense scoring 30 points or more, the special teams are slowly being fixed, now its time for you to do you job wade along with lackluster player ken hamlin, newman that looked lost last night, mistake prone flozell adams and romo.

do your cotton picking job wade;

id have to say a proven coach, someone that can instill the discipline this team clearly lacks. But above all someone who can hold himself and his team accountable, im tired of wade making stupid excuses after every loss. We know that you would have won if you cut the turnovers wade! thank you captain obvious! its your job to make sure that happens!

I HATE WADE PHILLIPS!!

to go back to the original topic, i would love to have holgrem, cowherd, or if we can, jeff fisher(prob my favorite coach right now)

1. I think Jason Garrett would make a good head coach. I would also not be opposed to promoting Ray Sherman to offensive coordinator.

2. Absolutely not. No re-treads. Those guys are in the broadcast booth for a reason.

3. Yes, hence promoting Jason Garrett to head coach.

4. No. Coaches from college, save for Jimmy Johnson, typically do not work out well in the NFL.

One and three and 4 are the same thing if he keeps Garrett.

I say go with Shanahan or Gruden.....

Now is not the time for what if scenarios. This post can be played around with after the season is over. Focus on the task at hand as we move forward.

If anything is to be "if you could pick..." I'd have someone on our D pick a pass.

Oh don't get me wrong. I still back the Cowboys no matter what. I just want to see improvements. Personally if I was Wade, I would have some of those Cowboy greats get in the locker room and try to inspire these guys. I'm sure Irvin would be up for it.

thats a good remark, i wished jerry jones would do that too, i am sure players like bob lily, leon lett, charles haley, mel renfro, charley waters, clilff harris, could teach some of the players some great techniques

but i dont think jerry jones realizes that;

Can you imagine what Haley would say to the d-line after seeing them not record a sack in 2 straight games.

This is right up there with the "Forget the Giants game, we need to concentrate on the Panthers".

What's the point of this site again? I didn't realize we all played/coached on this team.

We've got that All Cowboys Team thread on the first page.. why hasn't someone posted in there "This is a waste of time, it's impossible to put all these players together"?

I wouldn't mind Garrett if he believes in having tougher practices like Jimmy did. Besides he's a young guy and he could be around here for awhile. Ray Sherman as offensive coordinator and get Micheal Irvin in here to be the WR coach. Maybe Red can get Dennis Thurmann back here in some capacity.

My second choice would be the chin.
