Now is the time to buy. They're selling the original and burning crusade expansion for $5 and Lich King expansion for $10.

They consume WAY WAY WAY to much time. Especially now that I'm married and have kids running around the house. To play something like that, you without question must neglect other parts of your life. There is no sit down and play for 15 minutes in those games. It can easily become 4-8 hour ordeals depending on what you're doing.
They just aren't worth the time commitment. Nothing except your job, family, and sleep is worth that type of time commitment.

I got an email from Curse yesterday and it said something about Thousand Needles being blasted, but I don't have a clue about the other areas

Dragon's Lair was another game that used to eat quarters. If you sucked at Dragon's Lair, it was far worse than Gauntlet. It would literally guzzle quarters like college kids guzzle beer! :laugh2:

AmarilloCowboyFan;3715079 said:I don't understand them removing the portals unless in one of the new areas they will have portals to all the main cities. It is sure inconvienient now though.
Duane;3715138 said:My opinion is that they don't want people hanging out in Shattrath or Dalaran when all the new content is going to be in Azeroth. Plus I think there are going to be flight paths between Kalimidor and the Eastern Kingdoms.

Aside from grinding 3 or 4 characters, I haven't really spent much time in Azeroth (outside of Orgrimmar/Stormwind anyway) since TBC came out and would love to see how it's changed and what Blizz has added to the old world.
Like others have said though, it's such a huge time sink that I actually get nervous when I think about playing again. I'll talk myself into buying the game and being casual, but we both know that ain't gonna work for long.
