I think the Raiders game on Thursday is huge. I don't take anything for granted. We have to go BEAT them.

So... if you were in charge of the Sean Lee decision, and it turns out he is borderline ready to play.... do you play him or sit him against Oakland?

Sit him. Playing at home on short rest we are modest favorites... w/out him. And hammies are too subject to aggravation / re-injury.

Have him ready to take over. If not needed, stay on the bench...

No way. AFC games are less important. Better for Lee to be ready for the remaining NFC games after Oakland.

You give him the extra 10 days. We got the win we really had to have today. It'd be great to get the thanksgiving game also and have a 7-5 record, but the conference games and the two division games to end the season are more important.

Sit him. Give him the extra ten days. We could theoretically win the division by losing the next three and just beating Washington and Philadelphia.

You don't get to the playoffs based on NFC Wins. We win Thursday and we are by ourselves in first place.

Sit him.

This extra break after Thanksgiving is a nice buffer for us coming right after our bye this year. We should be as healthy as we're going to be for the stretch, for whatever that's worth.

We don't play da Bears until Monday,12/9, so sitting will give Sean two more weeks to get all healed up. But, if he and the medical staff say he is ready to go on Thursday, that will be just great.

NFC wins are more important than AFC wins win it comes to tie breakers so yes you do. Having Lee ready for the games down the stretch greatly out weigh him being ready to face Oakland in a few days.

Can we go ahead and assume Claiborne is out on Thursday?

If he's borderline ready to play I'd sit him, if he's ready to play I'd play him

Probably. He and Harris. Cowboyitis. I believe there must be something in the training regimen that the team is doing, or not doing, that is causing this ridiculous rash of hamstring injuries. I've seen teams with lots of injuries before, but this year it seems to almost always be the hamstring.

I'm saying we beat Oakland and we are in first place. Don't have to worry about tie breakers. A win is a win when it comes to the standings. 10 wins will get us in, regardless of who they are against.

I joked about it in the game day thread, but someone on the training staff needs to google "hamstring." Good night there have been a lot of hamstring injuries on this team!

Not even a question - you sit him until he is healthy.

Lee is undersized. He needs to be able to run full out to maximize his ability in this defense. Playing him at 85% or less doesn't do him, or the defense any good.

No matter how bad Ernie Sims is.
