I think there is a chance the Cowboys may go RB this draft if value presents itself on the 2nd or 3rd day.

I do think a reasonable case could be made that they go for a back with size.

However, having said all that, based on talent alone, I'd like to throw in my lot for DeMarco Murray somewhere in Round 3 or beyond.

I love this kid's vision, fluidness and his surprising physicality despite his relatively average 5'11.5" 213 lbs size. He's a great receiver and returns kicks. Reminds me a bit of Jamaal Charles/Tony Dorsett.

Combine #s:
4.41 forty
21 bench presses
34.5" vertical
4.18 20-yard shuttle
7.28 3-cone

He is similar to Felix Jones though he is probably faster. Jones on the other hand has the ability to break ankles.

I think Felix is the better player. I would be looking to replace Barber rather than Felix.

I think if Dallas were to look at RB it would not be Murry since I think Murry will go alot higher in the draft. I think any RB we pick up with be late in the draft if at all

You mean like this one...

John Clay, RB, Wisconsin
Height: 6-1. Weight: 230.

I would think Dallas would look to a RB like Clay. I would expect Barber will not be back next year and a big RB like Clay in short yardage I think would be a good fit.

Another back I'd like the Cowboys to consider is Delone Carter out of Syracuse. He's built like a fireplug and is a physical runner.

5' 8 1/2" 222 lbs
4.56 forty
27 b.5ench presses
37" vertical
4.07 20-yard shuttle
6.92 3-cone

Another guy that fits that's out of a similiar mold is Mario Fannin from Auburn.

5' 10" 231 lbs
4.38 forty
21 bench presses
37.5" vertical
4.21 20-yard shuttle
6.99 3-cone

Agreed. I think this is the type of guy we look for

I would expect he will be there late in the draft. There are some good RB in the draft but I think if you are looking 6th or 7th rd Clay could very well be a guy who could fill a need in short yardage.

I wouldn't mind looking at Allen Bradford late.

I agree. A big guy who can produce in short yardage and goal line situations.

Bradford is another good late rounder to look at. Biggest of the bunch at 240+ lbs.

Give me Taiwan jones anywhere after rd4 and I'm happy as a pig in slop.

Henry Hynoski FB 6-2 #260 Pitt - Big, nasty throwback FB who played in a pro-style offense. Hynoski has gotten better at catching the ball and is a load for any LB at the point of attack as a runner. Solid lead blocker. Better runner than you think.

Hynoski embodies all the classic fullback traits - but with an athletic twist … "Henry is a dangerous player with the ball in his hands," Walker says. "He is so much more than a blocking back." … also a classroom standout

I believe if we can get this guy in here we won’t need a big power back. Unless we pick up one as UDFA

Watched this kid in person all through his high school career. He beat the hell out of my Alum. Shenandoah Valley, Pa. On route to their state title. Southern Columbia. The best HS class A Team in PA. This guy knows how to run with the ball, not only a blocker. He is nimble on his feet for a big man, and is a threat to score when its in his hands. I hear Dallas is really looking hard at Henry, at the 4th or 5th RD. You have to be dumb not to grab him if he's there.

Just to be accurate, Hynoski measured at 6' even at the combine. I hope we draft a true fullback like him.

I don't like Murray, and I've seen him a lot. I think he's strictly a screen type open field player. Despite what the numbers say, he's built more like a WR than a running back, so I'd worry about durability. Just never lived up to what he should have based on his talent IMO.

I wish I had seen more backs in this draft, because I don't really like Clay or Rogers or really anyone I can think of right now. Well, I like Ingram, but I think he might be a little overrated. Maybe that Fannin from Auburn -- just watching the youtubes, he looks pretty good. I do think we need a 230+ lb type guy.

I like all the guys mentioned: Fanin, Carter, Clay, Bradford.

6th or 7th round..But no sooner

If we're going to run thrue holes like Murray did we better get a couple of new blockers first!
