Not because I wouldn't take a QB at 10. Because I think Fields is overrated.

Honestly, if you're drafting Fields, Dak taking a franchise tag means you will get nothing out of his value when he signs somewhere else next year. Third round comp pick is horrible return.

Drafting Fields means you get a guy like Dalton/Alex Smith signed for a year or two knowing the keys to the future on with Fields and that you're willing to suffer through some .500 seasons at best.

I'd take Fields, Lance, or Jones at 10 if we're not going to resign Dak. That position immediately becomes priority number one.
