It didn't have to come to an end like that.zrinkill;1396369 said:That was 5 years after our 3rd Superbowl in 4 years ......
It had to come to an end sometime.
The lowest expectations I had for a Cowboys team ever.(in 89, I didn't really know any better. I was 6 for Chrissakes) Campo actually did a nice job wringing 5 wins out of that teamTHUMPER;1396368 said:I hated losing WR James McKnight and CB Ryan McNeil in FA that year. Plus we lost Aikman, Dale Hellestrae, Chad Hennings, Leon Lett, and Erik Williams to retirement (except for Lett who went to Denver if I recall).
Our draft was horrible and I'll never forgive Jerry for passing on Shaun Rogers for Tony Dixon. Dixon was a complete waste and Rogers is a stud. I almost cried out of frustration when I saw who we selected and Rogers was still on the board. :bang2:
The one guy out of that draft that I had high hopes for was LB Markus Steele. He looked like he had all the tools and was going to be a player but then he just sort of fell off the face of the Earth.
"...and thank you so much for bringing up such a painful subject. While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it?"

Quincy Carter Tony Dixon Willie Blade Markus Steele Matt Lehr Daleroy Stewart Colston Weatherington John Nix Char-ron Dorsey
Best? Lehr, as laughable as that sounds but he's still playing.
Worst? That's a very tough one but I'll go with Dorsey.
