This board is going to be intolerable for the next 8 months.

It takes more than just a regular idiotic tool to think that trading guys like Romo, TO or RW11 is a positive or even possible given the extraordinary cap hits. It takes a very special kind of idiotic tool.

For those who think Romo needs to go: I don't know how you people dress yourselves every morning. I'm not even going to delve into how incredibly asinine this suggestion is. Good QBs are very hard to find, great QBs even harder. Romo is a good QB, this is simply not debatable, no matter how much your wish it were. Whether or not he can be a great QB has yet to be seen, but being healthy helps. As does having an O-Line that doesnt quit in December.

For those who think TO and RW11 need to go: Great idea. Simply brilliant. Now how do you propose we get an All-Pro, future hall of famer and a Pro-Bowler to replace them? That's what I thought.

For those who think Pac-Man needs to go: Have at it. One of the few disliked players that it's actually feasible to get rid of. He did play well outside of the last game, however.

For Those who want Anthony Henry to go: He's a good safety playing corner. Not great, but better than average and has his moments.

For those who want RW38 gone: He has probably already played his last game as a Cowboy

For those who want all 3 of the above secondary players gone: You are the one's who cut off your nose to spite your face then cry a week later because you can't smell anymore. Just don't think ahead very well.

It just BAFFLES me how a so many people can honestly think that a 30-40 percent roster turnover is intelligent in the least. Just get a grip and realize that our of all the players you hate so much, only Pac-Man, Carpenter and RW38 have a real chance of leaving. This roster will return next year largely unchanged and, hopefully, with a new coaching staff in place. If not, well, we'll probably finish out of the postseason picture again.

It's normally pretty tough to equate a lack of football knowledge to a lack of actual intelligence.

This case is an exception

Get off the high horse buddy. I don't care what players are cut or retained. I am worried about the inept coaches being kept.

Stay on the high horse, HH31. The inmates are running the asylum right now and they're all sure they're perfectly sane.

I'm not on any sort of horse. Those who believe getting rid of Romo, TO, etc. is a good idea are riding the short bus, however.

Tough not to be bitter and want players/coaches to pay for our misery.

I agree with you sentiments.

I do not want us to cut ties with even one good player who properly coached and motivated, can help us.

I want them all. Owens, Pacman, Tank, both Williams'. And any other good player the fans and media wish to use as a scape goat.

We need some change. What we don't need is to exchange good players for average players to accomplish that change.

Jerry has been a somewhat out-of-the-box thinker at times. Example being the hire of Garrett prior to his HC to insure his acquisition. We can argue the merits of this hire in another thread, but I like the move. You like a guy, believe in him, go get him! To hell with prota-call.

Back to the change we do need. It should be within the coaching staff.

A lot of good coaches have just hit the streets! Crennel's staff, Marinelli's staff, Mangini's staff and now Shanahan's staff.
Now I don't know how many of those assistants have hit the street, but I'm sure it's a lot and I know most of the time a HC is fire, any assistant is allowed to leave.

Either way that's one hell of a talent pool. Why can't Jerry tap it?

The only coach who I definitely want to upgrade is Read.

That's not even debatable, IMO.

I'd like to upgrade Stewart, but that isn't going to likely happen.

Whenever a team this loaded with talent (and this IS the most talented team in my lifetime to not make the playoffs) underperforms to this degree, the fingers should ALWAYS be pointed squarely at the coaching staff first.

Sure, players play a part, but the bottom line is our coaches didnt utilize our talent (espoecially our offensive talent) to anywhere near it's full potential. Just because we are pissed doesnt mean we should start acting like half our brain cells went on vacation for the week.

When will you realize Tony Romo is a stat padder, cry baby and full of himself. Worst 60 million ever spent.( I will not even get into his performance when it counts.) Bledsoe would never allow this to happen. He may have been near the end of his career but at least he had a pair of balls. And TO...name a team that as not self-destructed with him? Romo needs to toughen up and TO needs to go.

You're right. What was I thinking? Keeping one of the greatest receivers to ever play the game is a horrendous idea.

Could not possibly agree w/ you more HH. It amazes me when I read some of these threads in here.

Bruce R. has to go, but I have no issues keeping everything consistant. The players have to make the plays and JG has to do some tinkering in the offseason, unless he is leaves, in which he will have an S-Storm of tinkering to consider.

I don't know what you are thinking. You don't want anything to change and expect completely different results next season. I guess you are one of those that buys into Wade's "Im going to change plan"? Hold your breath for that one. Oh, you think Wade isn't going to be back? Man, I guess you will be dissapointed come September and he is still stalking the sidelines looking for his lost dog. Look, I am not going to argue that TO was once, ONCE, one of the best recievers in the games but but lets look at the past two years, he has gotten a bad case of the drops, he pisses and moans any time he does not get the ball even though he is thrown to more than any other reciever on the team, he could not get open to save his life for the entire first half of this season, he airs the teams dirty laundry on primetime interviews, he argues like the inmature rich tool that he is with a egotistical reporter, he throws his offensive coordinator under the bus IN PUBLIC, REPEATIDLY, he attacks one of the greatest tight ends this team and the NFL has ever seen...I could go on and on and on...talent is not the issue with this team, Miles Austin, Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton can more than hold their own with out TO and getting rid of him would be a good first step in fixing this huge attitude and chemistry problem that this team has.

I DO want things to change, but only a fool believes change is only brought about through wholesale alteration in the roster.

As for TO's supposed lack of production, he is 3rd in the NFL over the last two seasons in touchdown receptions and 4th in yards. And regardless of what YOU may think, other team's realize how good he is and constantly double team him. Miles Austin and Patrick Crayton would have a MUCH tougher time getting open with him on the field.

BTW, everything TO "complained" about this season with reagrds to the offense was true. It was predictable underutilized him and RW, and had no continuity

Bledsoe came out and said he didn't even care much for football after he retired. Why would anybody want a player like that. Where are all these Bledsoe fans coming from. If someone starts a "we should of kept Vinnie" thread I will shart myself.

Show me this quote...Bledsoe never said a negative thing in his career. He simply had the balls to walk away as he knew he was done..no excuses. after 14 years, rebuilding a crap Patriot franchise (along with Curtis Martin and Ben Coates), several playoffs years, a superbowl appearance, numerous comebacks...saving the 2002 season (superbowl) against the Steelers when Brady went down... let me know when Romo does anything in the clutch...I will pay some of his salary.
