.......then please don't raise a fuss when he plays well for another team, or - worst of all - makes big plays against the Cowboys when he meets them on the field.

It seems that when a player is a Cowboy, fans say, "He sucks, get rid of him," but when he joins another team, the Dallas fans suddenly reverse course and say, "He's not so bad - why did we let him go?"

I bet that the moment Martellus Bennett makes a big catch against Dallas - perhaps as soon as the season opener - Dallas fans will suddenly pretend that they weren't calling for Marty B to be cut for all those years that he was here in Dallas.

If Marty plays well for the Giants, so be it.

He wasn't doing it here so I really don't care what he does elsewhere and don't want him back.

I love it when fans start a thread imploring posters how to act about conduct. Sheez. Get a life. Like your own.

I disagree, his role was limited but what he was asked to he did GREAT for a backup.......he played behind Witten.
Austin, Dez, Witten, Felix, Murray, Robinson, etc....only so many people can get the ball.

So shut up he doesn't suck

Did this one hit home and catch a nerve?

Not sure, but you atleast come across as guilty.

It just seems like it's the same fans but it's not. When Marty signed with the Giants some on this board were glad he left, some didn't think it was a great loss, some couldn't care less and then some thought he brought great blocking to the table and that he was undervalued. That last group will be the one saying "he's not so bad- why did we let him go" not the other groups, it just seems that way sometimes.

Exactly! Also I'm EXTREMELY excited he was traded to the Giants. I couldn't stand him.

I hope he does well just not against us. I have nothing against him but I won't miss him dropping passes or fumbling them to the defense.

He can catch 10 TDs and have 500 yrds in one game and I won't regret it (Okay I'm lying, if he had that kind of performance I probably would). I just never was much of a MB fan. I guess a lot of it had to do with his weird attitude and he just never struck me as someone who would put in the extra effort to get better. Though I can say, it seems his attitude improved leaps and bounds from what it was the first year.

That's why he only got a one year deal from the Giants and Carlson got a 5 year deal from the Vikings.

No one in the NFL thinks MB can be a top flight TE. He had 3 years to show it and never did.

FAILURE!!!!

It's so funny when people basically admit their own guilt by being visibly butthurt in a thread.

Bobby Carpenter's play does not come to mind. His ONE play against Dallas that is.

 :laugh1:

I'm sure Bennett is going to play well for the Giants. He's going to have the shot to be the #1 TE there instead of the #2, primarly blocking, TE he was here.

He'll be a match up problem but we'll see how it goes.

When he got his chances he looked like a keystone cop out there.

Plus he's just very strange.

Yea Im sure of it, he sucks.

If only we knew Barby Carpenter, of all people, would be the catalyst in the Lions game. Sort of ironic in a way.
