I have never understood how Philbin is regarded as some OL genius. He wasn’t in Green Bay and he is not here. They need an elite OL coach.
maybe next off season….

We have not had that vital coaching position right since Callahan. And Jones botched that.In reality there should have been a flamethrower to the staff this off-season. But at the very least Philbin should have been made to walk the plank.
Well 2014 was the most recent year beforehand with a genuine QB1 for the season and with the likes of Murray (not fumbling the ball for a TD, Bailey (Mr Automatic suddenly missed a field goal) and Dez (not securing the catch beyond any doubt) not executing against the Packers with a well below average defense yet still winning a play off game against a strong defensive front 7 then 2016 really was the season to make the Superbowl given it had a better defense than 2014. But you can't afford to fall in a huge hole early on.Id argue it’s been more of the same .
Oh I am sure the master salesman is gonna spin this debacleOk, whatever his shortcomings are being cheap ain't one of them!
You have paid all the stars big-time cash since 2016 and they have brought you as a return for your investment 1 playoff win.
If I was Jerry coaching heads would simply not be enough here and the dynamic duo experiment of Dak and Zeke has run its course and needs to change and new blood brought in.
I mean what could ownership expect at this point they have a beat-up Zeke, an aging expensive offline, a QB who is average at best and simply chokes the apple in big games.
D-Law who simply cannot stay healthy or have over 10 sacks.
Now factor in the contracts that are coming up such as 88,11,7, well you gotta make some difficult choices on the future of your team.
Call me nuts but I see a major rebuild this season and a Jerry expecting a bad season and not 8-9 bad but worse.
This team or better yet a large piece of this roster has run its course and the Grade is at best D+ considering the weakness of the NFC East all these years.
Last time I checked it's not Jerry Jones choking under center against playoff teams and spotting the ball himself instead of giving it to the ref after 6 seasons starting for America's team.
You might not like the reality but it's there for all to view and wonder how much longer are we and Jerry are going to put up with the fat cap cats who are producing well......1 playoff win in 6 seasons????

Philbin was terrific in Green Bay. Did he forget how to coach? No, he didn't.They need an elite OL coach.

What's his excuse for the other 20 something years? Dak was 2 years old in 1996. Romo was 16 years old.Last time I checked it's not Jerry Jones choking under center against playoff teams and spotting the ball himself instead of giving it to the ref after 6 seasons starting for America's team.

By 2025 they will be gone with the slight possibility of Zach if he wants to keep playing. In your opinion, do you think Tyron, Zeke, and Tank will be on the team in 2025? I'm not even sure Zach Martin will be on the team by then.
He's desperate and out of time as 80 years old well you get the idea.Oh I am sure the master salesman is gonna spin this debacle
Good take and i hope jerry and stephen have that long vision to see a rebuild is due . The ceiling was last season and a one and done . they had no chance against the 49ers and the score could have been a lot worse . The huge loss at home to denver should have been the clear indication dak and co are not going anywhere but mediocre.Ok, whatever his shortcomings are being cheap ain't one of them!

a 3-5 start will get things in motion and an overhaul may start . MM will also start getting the usual media questions about his job security.
For dak he has his contract and is set m and he still has no competition at QB. Dlaw, Zeke and and others will have to go and a rebuild will have to start. This FO will have to look at a different strategy beyond selling jersies .
