If Zimmer leaves....Dave Wannstedt?

Considering the dissapointment of Pitt's season and his history here, would this be a possibility?

Not saying I want Zimmer gone, just wonderinf what if.

agree about the 4-3 dc part. we need a guy who has mastered the 3-4.

Dave is a better DC in any system than most guys out there

We're still primarily employ 4-3 personnel. A switch back would be simple, and we wouldn't be throwing away Glover and Ellis for some second rate LB.

DE's: Canty, Ellis, Spears, Ware
DT's: Ratliff, Fergie, Glover

LB's: Burnett, Bradie

Just need to pick up one more OLB.

Not anything too difficult. We'd be better off with the 4-3 set anyhow.

He was pretty good @ Dallas when we had throngs of rookies rotating in and out every other down. The scheme was the same as Dallas has used up until this year, just without as much speed or as many personnel. He sucked as a head coach- where your prowess or lack thereof really shines. I think he is just fine where he's at. Thanks anyway. Capers does interest me for a DC position, however...he sucked @ houston, so...who's to say if he "still has it"??? I think Zimmer will be gone (just a gut feeling). Payton's best chance to leave was probably last season (04).
