I was at were mostly what you would expect.
Angrily smug when the iggles had the lead.
Then dejected at end.
One was trying to pick a fight outside the bar afterwards. Another group left silently in their vehicle as I was rolling out on my bicycle. You could actually feel their hatred as they pulled away.

While your team deserves full credit for the win, don't even think about trying to pitty us, we hold our heads high in this first loss of the year (37 points against the Cowboys is no disgrace; retrospectively speaking the score was ) of the season ...surely you don't think you'll go undefeated this year.

Not knowing what to do, I debated saying something to her obese husband who didn't seem to care/notice.

You guys had to literally cheat to get momentum. That pulling of the jersey was BUSH LEAGUE. You guys had nothing but FG's at that point.

I can't get over Eagles fans complaining about the refs. The only calls I saw that were controversial for them were the missed facemask to Westbrook in the first quarter (in which the refs missed a blatant hold by the Eagles on the play before) and that personal foul when Curtis made a false start (although the Eagles player did take his hands to Curtis' face and threw him to the ground). Otherwise, it was a horrendous job of refereeing in Philly's favor.

I think the refereeing kind of equaled out.
Hey we fall on the ball on the missed TD or pick it up and start running then what would have happened.
Sorry inadverent whistle again....

We did not help ourselves with 11 penalties.

And the missed connection to Barber to turn the ball over on a punt at the end of the game.
Aside from the one KO return the Eagles were not good on special teams - we were better.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm hearing you say that from your perspective, the score should have been 23 - 41 Cowboys, and that you have issues about your victory. Correct me if I'm wrong ...but field goals aren't important? Aren't some games won or loss by field goals.

There are plenty of ways to look at this game, but the bottom line is that the Cowboys came out the second half and outscored the Eagles and stepped up their defense and won the game.

There were a lot of stupid penalties against both Cowboys and Eagles that were both missed and called completely wrong, but that is just part of football.

I will give you credit for the fact Donavan and Westbrook played well.

(On a side note, I commend you for being respectable and not just posting senseless Eagles rhetoric....My experience with most Eagles fans hasn't been all that great. )

That is great!!! I probably would have left that part out and said "Bike", at least then we could have painted a better mental picture.....maybe of a motorcycle or a scooter at worst...

I paced myself on the beers so I wasn't hammered but its nice riding the bicycle and not having to worry about turning the key on a potential DUI. If I feel too shaky I just get off and walk it.
The iggles fans in the truck appeared, by their attempts to turn around in the parking lot, to be over the limit. Probably shoulda called that one in.
Interesting that for a Boise crowd it seemed the fan base at the bar was 60/40 Dallas fans. Interesting because for most of the '70s and '90s the local affiliates always carried the Dallas games and that built up a big fanbase around here.
