While your team deserves full credit for the win, don't even think about trying to pitty us, we hold our heads high in this first loss of the year (37 points against the Cowboys is no disgrace; retrospectively speaking the score was ) of the season ...surely you don't think you'll go undefeated this year.

PT

Nah, not undefeated. But we're off to a very nice start. 2-0 against two of the better offenses in the league (Because I do expect by years end that Cleveland will prove to be another top notch offense again).

It wasn't always pretty but I'll take it. :)

I will give you credit for the fact Donavan and Westbrook played well.

(On a side note, I commend you for being respectable and not just posting senseless Eagles rhetoric....My experience with most Eagles fans hasn't been all that great. :))

I must say the Iggle fans I talked with @ the game last night were actually pretty respectable and good natured. We had fun trading verbals jabs all game. I was shocked.

Ummm, the Cowboys might go undefeated this year. But one thing is for certain - the Eagles won't.:laugh2:

Thanks buddy. Key factor in my case is that I've grown since I've joined the "Zone" back in January 2004 (with the help of Zone moderators). I realize that I'm not exactly liked by most fans here, but some (especially some moderators) have been more than fair ...some fans are even classy ...while some are trolls - but there are trolls on all message boards.

Being on the Zone has helped me become a better Moderator on two other boards. One essential characteristic of being a Moderator is to remain objective. While we all have our problem children, for the most part that type of personality actually strengthens you. That said, my travels to various NFL message boards have given me plenty of insight, tolerance, and understanding. For example, there are sensitive times on a message board when an opponent fan should back away from the keyboard and allow hoefield fans to express their angst. There are other techniques that I won't go into for the sake of time.

Bottom line is that I'm not interested in insulting other teams/fans ...I'm here to learn about my opponents and provide my team's perspective ...that usually means n opposing perspective; but not necessarily an insulting perspective.

That doesn't mean an opposing fan needs to be a whimp to survive on an opponent team's message board ...it does mean that I will defend my position in a respectable manner, using intelligent methods of thwarting internal trolls (they know who they are. There is definitely a difference beween being a dedicated fan defending the integrity and dignity of your home franchise, and
being obnoxious, immature and senseless (I know who they are, but in respect for their confidentiality ...). Anyway, I'm pleased to learn that you
recognize my efforts to avoid senseless jabber and namecalling fests.

Try going on another team's message board and see how tough it is to maintain your composure without falling into troll traps. I would start off on any team but the Eagles ...that's not for your beginner opponent fans - heck, it's even tough for Eagle fans on my home message board (disregard if you've already experienced being on opponent fan message boards)

^ I will be honest and say I don't know how well I would keep my composure on an Eagles board. It might be worth a try at some point. Kudos to you though.

You have to win the first two of the year to go undefeated.

Going undefeated doesn't really mean that much anyway, as you seem to imply in your post.

And don't confuse pity with respect. Most of us Cowboy fans on this forum thought Philly play a great game, and realize it could have gone either way. However, these same fans can trash talk with the best the Eagle fans offer up.

Ask Bill Belichick about that one. :muttley:

Yesterday morning whem I came to work I had Eagle Fans complaining against that Missed Facemask on Westbrook, When I said OK, but that evened out on the PI on Henry, they were adament that the WR wasn't holding he just had a hand up under the Shoulder pads, They aren't the Smartest Fans in the league.

Kudos to you indeed. I have always found your posts well written and thoughtful. I enjoy another fan expressing his/her opinion in a respectful and logical way.

Thank you. Now die you gravy sucking pig. ;)

I paced myself on the beers so I wasn't hammered but its nice riding the bicycle and not having to worry about turning the key on a potential DUI. If I feel too shaky I just get off and walk it.

I have a friend that got pulled over for riding a bicycle under the influence in Texas. The cop even took him to the police station, but he wasn't jailed. He was making a beer run to the convenience store down the street, and didn't want to drive a car under the influence to get there.
