Igor Olshansky

He was last seen hanging around someone named abbie...abbie something.

I was excited about the possibility of signing him, but now I'm having my doubts. If he's such a stud DL, why aren't we hearing more about him visiting other teams, or any news on him for that matter.

i think what it was, he has been injured some, has alittle injury history;

and he might be wanting a ton of money, and no one interested

Thats a good thing in a way. Market price hopefully will not be too expensive.

We dont need an all star at DE. But he knows Wades system, and is a decent player. If we can get him for a moderate price, I'm all for it.

Detroit has supposedly shown interest in him. He will command similar numbers to Canty so we should just forget about him. We will fill Canty's spot with a combo of Hatcher, Bowen, Ratliff, Dixon, and/or a draft pick. We will not be adding any big name expensive free agents unless Williams and Ellis are cut and Ware is signed.

How old is he? I think role players with age dont command huge salaries. Its not like he is a monster difference maker at RE like Canty was for us. (Joke)

6 months older than Canty.

Keep in mind Canty was signed as a DT in the Giants 4-3 scheme, so his contract was priced accordingly. Olhansky would come as a 3-4 DE, therefore it not necessarily the same from a contract standpoint. They are two different positions.
