Well, we haven't been talking about salary cap projections so it's hard to say how much impact we have made there.

Regardless, the thing about dead cap money is that is money that counts against the cap without any benefit to the team. If we can push $15M from this year into next year then we only have $5M dead cap money and can put together a fairly normal roster.

I really hope Jerry has learned his lesson about giving long-term deals to older players. It just doesn't make financial sense most of the time. You always have to prepare for this situation by grooming some younger players which means beefing up the scouting dept. and getting the best coaches possible for player development.

Yeah that's cool to be chipping at next year's dead money, offsetting so to say.

The cap projections and impacts are what they are, an unknown. Still the added sum of the released player's salaries, not only from this year but next year too, will help make that dead money easier to deal with.

We're just saving on both ends and hopefully this doesn't bite us on the ***.

I think the only player we could miss is Gurode....the others...Im pretty confident our replacements are better or at least just as good.

Yeah I think what were losing in power, were gaining in speed. This may affect our play calling at first, different type runs and pass plays. Eventually it should even itself out.

I'm of a power running type mindset. Just pound it up the middle, down and dirty football. Then hitt'm deep.

I think we're more a zone stretch team now, and that's not so bad. Maybe more finesse on 3rd and 2, but a lot more home run potential.
