ILB Package - 3 on the field together

Did anyone notice this package with Lee, James and Brooking on the field together? I think it was always against 2 WR sets.

That's called the "Rex Grossman isn't going to beat us so lets play the run" package. Unfortunately, Grossman almost did.

From what I saw of it, I agree. Lee looked good but having James and Brooking out there was like a 9 man defense. I would like to draft one more LB in the draft to play with Lee and Carter next year. Hopefully we can find some talent somewhere between the 2nd-4th rounds and the right guy will fall to us like in the last two drafts.
