Is there a big difference in responsibility between what Lee and James do on the field? I know Brooking played some snaps for Lee but is he not also able to step in for James or are there 2 different skill sets required to play ILB in a 3-4 defense?

Well generally there are some differences. The SILB needs to be more of a thumper and the WILB more of a chaser. But both play inside and are going to have to take on interior OL and both have to cover RBs and sometimes TEs. I don't really know Rob Ryan's D much but with that much moving around ILBs are going to have to be pretty versatile.

Thanks jobberone, that is pretty much what I thought but didnt want to make any assumptions. Appreciate the info.

All I know is that I really want to see Bruce Carter get some snaps. Wish he was healthy.

Me too saw him 2009 was a beast. He is quick not overly big about 245 lil over 6'1. Maybe after the bye week, hopefully we can see our future. I say draft one inside and outsidbacker early next year.
