I had a thread early last week calling for the following..

1. Cut Folk, He's lost his confidence...ex: Vanderjaqt, Its december, cant afford it .
2. Bench Scandrick, When Hamlin comes back this week, Then Move Alan Ball into our nickel Package.
3. In our Nickel Package Put Newman in the slot, put Ball on the outside.
4. Start Choice, make Barber Finisher, Mix in Felix .aka.. Third down back and a few series in between.
5. Get on sensabaugh's *** , and tell him if he wants to stay in Dallas , the next 3 weeks will determine that.

We got to do something now to mix thing's up a bit. What do we really got to lose at this point? This is where the coaches earn there money. Do Something .

Well I think it could provide him alittle more focus and motivation if Jerry actually told him. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry does do this or hasn't already. But for us to make the Post season , he's going to have to step up his play.

I was really big on Coughlin's changes, his defense came out absolutely inspired against the Cowboys.

Then they absolutely crapped the bed against Philly.

There's only so much that little mind games like that can do to compensate for a lack of execution.

Sensabaugh has been giving up to many TD's recently, not sure what's up with that...

I got news for you if you are benching anyone in the defensive backfield it needs to be Newman. How many big plays has that guy given up this year?

Not as much as the average corner. Guys need to quit using Newman as a scapegoat. Didn't he grab a INT to get us the football back after failing to score?

Sensabaugh is overrated. Better than what we've had. But hardly irreplaceable.

This is true. Sensabaugh wasn't to blame for all the plays given up yesterday. He actually saved a TD, but did get beat by Gates in zone. Newman gets beat consistently these days and it was his fault for trying to ball hawk and dishing his man too early to Sesabaugh. The safety was taking the deep middle which forces your corners to stay man. Take note of how many times 21 got torched. I know Newman got a pick, but his play has been suspect this year. He isn't the best corner on the team anymore.

Sensabaugh is probably our most fundamentally sound tackler on the defense aside from Keith Brooking. When Sensabaugh is able to square up and hit guys, he wraps up and they crumple to the ground.

Probably because he has to worry about slow-footed Bradie James in pass coverage...

People just love to look at it like a video game. The long play that Newman got "beat" on was Cover 2. Perfect scheme by the Chargers, running two receivers deep - 1 up the sideline who Newman let go because it was COVER 2, and the other up the seam that Sensabaugh had to account for. By the time Newman realized the play's development it was too late.

Someone was catching the pass on that play, save for an amazing miraculous defensive play, and honestly Sensabaugh and Newman almost made the play despite getting caught throwing out "paper" while the Chargers used "scissors."

Our DBs are generally at their best when they play man up with safety/LB help in zone.

Don't think many S can cover Gates 1 on 1. Even CB's can't do it. That's a lot to ask a S esp. the call was to exploit that by clearing out the entire left side of the field for Gates to run free.

didn't help that we had no pass rush up the middle to pressure a completely immobile QB

Speaking of slow, I wish they would have given Jason Williams a few reps over BJ. Lack of speed in the middle is killing us...
