I'm a fan of Zeke, but also a fan of other players on the team

Overpaying someone’s greed?

The dude is the backbone to our team. It’s almost criminal that Dak will earn more money than Zeke considering who our offense revolves around

Zeke should not feel sorry for the Dallas Cowboys considering their goal is to use his value up and throw him to the curve after his rookie contract. What he’s actually doing right now is very smart because he still has value, is the most important part to our offense and our team needs him given the expectations for this team this year

Yes. Frankly, yes. The salary cap means there's not unlimited money to be spent. Paying Zeke more means paying others less. Plus, and more importantly, he still has two years left on his contract. I have some crazy, old-fashioned ideas that say if you've signed a 5-year deal, you honor that 5-year deal. Not honoring it should never be an option, except for uncontrollable circumstances such as illness, injury, or death. If you can play, you should honor whatever deal you signed. If he didn't want to do that, he shouldn't have signed a 5-year deal. The league should have a rule that says any able-bodied player who does not honor his contract should be permanently kicked out of the league. I'm sick of these holdouts.

Did I call Zeke greedy? Damn right I did. Did I have the audacity to say he should be kicked out of the league? Yup. I know that doesn't fit with the current PC crap that passes for today's values, and I don't care. I call it like I see it. You honor your bleepin' contract. End of story. If you don't, you can go play in Canada and see how much you can make there.

Do whatever it takes to get paid. This league doesn't love you. The players have to know this by now. They will chew you up and spit you out. They want you to jump when they say jump. Want you to run when they say run. Soon as you want your worth then you are malcontent? Naw man.....get your money Zeke. Fans may be mad at you now but when you out there rushing for 100 yards all will be forgiven.

While that is true but who been making the most money Dak or Zeke? Just in case you didn't know Zeke sign a 25M dollar rookie deal, that's not including his money for 2021 since we pick up an option for him. Right now he sit as a top 10 paid RB.

the contract demands are getting ridiculous. There is no way Dak is worth 30 million. Seems to me the owners are pushing back to these outrageous demands and being held hostage. Started with Kaep. Then Levon and Brown and now Zeke. At some point they need to shut them down. Does any realize how much 30 Million dollars really is? Than these crybabies want more....

They don't care about paying 30 million. You think Jerry Jones cares bout paying Dak 30 million a year? No they don't want to pay GUARANTEED money. That's where they differ. They want to be able to escape a deal or have the option to. Just like Kapernick. The headlines was he signed a 100 million dollar deal....they didn't disclose they could get out of that deal in a few years which is exactly what they did.

These guys are underpaid if you ask me. They risk their lives and bodies every Sunday while the owners sit in their air conditioned offices collecting hundreds of millions a year. So yeah if Dak wants 30 he should get 30. If Zeke wants 20 he should get it. Now should be the Cowboys be the ones to do it? That's another topic.

I get that but in the grand scheme of things, there’s a pretty good reason why people do it
No it's not, is stupid and dumb. Even if people think Dak should get paid 25 million that's still way more money than a RB.

Like it or not the facts are Dak is more valuable than Zeke. If Zeke holds out in the regular season Dallas will still get by and be competitive. If Dak holds out or missed games this season goes down the drain. Those are facts pal

I’m not going to go in circles about the Zeke suspension because part of me to this day believe that Elliott should’ve sued the league for that suspension. We will go in circles but from my perspective, the man did nothing wrong and using that against him in the contract negotiations is wrong.

I just think that after that negative exposure even if it was unjust he should have gone out of his way to stay squeaky clean and he did the opposite . This cost him a ton of money in endorsements. He just dosent think things through before he acts a common problem with many young people till they mature . Tons of money can also make this situation worse .

Pretty much. When I hear people say use him up and drop him, I don't know why any RB would have any loyalty. But any scrub can run behind our line or so I've been told.

Which is exactly why some fans are acting personally offended by Zeke's hold out and resorting to calling him childish names - he went against the plan.

How dare he not allow himself to be run into the ground, franchised, and replaced! Does he think he's above the fans' wishes? The nerve of that guy! :muttley:
