I'm a hater today

I've forgotten what it's like to have butterflies before an NFC Championship game it's been 20 years since the Cowboys have made it that far. There's no butterflies like watching the Cowboys in the SB my butterflies had butterflies. I was biting my nails and my wife's nails during SB XXX.

Sorry my friend. Upset is a part of any team's fan...

That Prime Time catch in SB XxX brought my hear rate back to normal ranges I was nervous.

Back in 92 I lived about 20 minutes from the Rose Bowl so it was like watching the Cowboys in the SB in my backyard. Me and a friend headed down to the Rose Bowl without tickets and ended up having to pay $3500 to a scalper for a couple of 20 yard line seats.

I hate looking at other teams I miss having butterfly's before the NFC Championship game during church and before the game and the relief when the clock hit triple zero.

My most nervous and finest day as a Cowboys fan was going to a party in San Jose during the 1992 season NFC Championship game. It was a house full of Whiner fans, I was the lone Cowboys fan. I knew I would get it if we lost. All through the game all I kept hearing about was "The Catch". We were up 10 and they were still talking Super Bowl and drinking beer and eating. When the 4th quarter hit I kindly asked them "have you seen the score"? Then they started paying attention to the game. You should have seen their faces when Aikman hit Harper. Priceless.

A lot of them started betting me the Bills would beat the Cowboys, and most paid up, but a few welched. I wasn't invited to the next NFC Championship game party, but called them at half time. They were pissed.

Nervous times, but fun. They called me at half time during the 94 season NFC Championship game, so they got their revenge. It was funny to hear them cry though "who is this Favre guy"? in 1995.

I will be fine today as long as the results reflect a Super Bowl Match up of Broncos vs Cardinals.

My exact wish. Broncos vs Cardinals and I will watch every minute of it with joy. If it is Pats vs Panthers, no Superbowl for me. Sad bu true.

Great thread. So many young fans have no idea how brutally nerve wrecking the Championship games are. The Super Bowl is like playing with house money - but the Championship games - they will drive you crazy.

I miss that feeling.

Conference title games are nerve-racking but for me nothing comes remotely close to the nerves you feel when the Cowboys are in the SB. To reach the SB and lose tears your guts out.
